Alex wrenched the gear again, the bike increased its speed, he manuvered through the traffick, he saw a pedestrian crossing sign at the front, he make a quick and sharp turn to the right, he icreased the speed, his left wing mirror exploded as a spray of bullet slammed into it, he glanced back and saw two bikes and a black sedan car giving him a hot chase, he increased his speed as he saw two police car at the front, a bit close to the police cars he make a quick turn to the left, the bike closer to him was too late to make the turn as he slammed hard into the police car, the second bike saw the crash at the front and applied its brake, it was too late as the car following him rammed into him from behind. Alex made no sign to stop as he increased his speed and sped off, then out of nowhere two porshe cars send sprays of bullets at him and followed him in hot pursuit, Alex tried to go faster but it was too late. The two cars had reached him and for a horrible second, he found himself sandwiched between two cars, one on each side, he was only inches away from them.

Looking left and right he could see the barrels of their machine gun, there was only one thing to do. He slammed his foot on the brake, ducking at the same time, the bike lifted its back tire doing a front wheele, the bike skidded to a halt and the other two cars flashed past him. There was a chatter as both machine guns opened fire. Alex looked up, The two drivers had squeezed thier triggers simultaneously. They had both been aiming at him, but with the bike suddenly out of thier sight, they had ended up firing at each other. Their was a yell as one of the cars lost control and crashed into a tree by the road side, metal work crumpling against wood. The other applied its brake but it was too late as it sumersault three times before exploading...

Alex spun the bike round again and increased his speed, more jeeps with men with big guns balanced themselves, half leaning out the window. They had a clear shot, there was nothing that was going to stopped them from shooting or hitting Alex now that they are on a free highway.

Alex increased the speed of the bike, he looked forward, their was a dead end at the front, he applied brake and spun the bike around, he brought out a silver desert eagle, he glanced at the approaching vehicles, he crossed his heart and reved the bike, he spun the bike into gear and it pick up speed, he took aim at the driver of the first vehicle, he took the shot and it meet its target, the jeep lost control and first rammed into the second jeep by its side, crushing the two men shooting out of the window, it turmbuled thrice and caghut flame. Alex increased the speed of the bike, he balanced on it and steadied the speed, he face the approaching jeep, closer enough to the jeep he lept off the bike and landed on the roof of the jeep, the bike swinged around and crashed into the bridge by the high way, he took his gun and shoot at the men inside the jeep, a man threw a grenade from the other jeep at Alex. Alex caught the grenade, he threw it inside the jeep and lept off the jeep at once, the jeep exploded, the other jeep saw this and tried to crush Alex, Alex quickly rolled off to the other side of the high way, he brought out his gun and send shots of bullets at the gas thank of the jeep, in a blink of an eye, the jeep caught flame and exploded burning all the men inside...

Alex stood up with his cloth tarred, he looked at the havoc that just happend within minutes, he saw two police cars approaching.

''Hun too much flame and trouble for a day'' Alex said. Not wanting to cause another scene with the russian police, he jumped off the bridge into the river...

******CHAPTER TEN******

*****ATLASOV ISLAND******

The boat wheezed and spluttered out of the harbor, trailing a cloud of evil smelling black smoke. Rust had ripped and then burst through every surface, looking like some bad skin disease. The boat had no visible name written on it, a few flags fluttered from the mask, but they were little more than rags with any trace of thier original colours faded long ago.

Alex and Juliet set out for the island, they had decided to move on to the island at the afternoon and wait till dusk and then dive on to Eric's base through the secret passage way...

Alex and juliet sat in the carbin of the boat checking their diving gears, the air and the weather was calm, soon Alex began to see the beauty of the island. The atlasov island looked as ridiculously bautiful as every other carribean island, the colours almost too intense to be true, their was the dazzling blue of the ocean, the immaculate white beaches, the palm trees packed together, separated from the sea by a brilliant ribbon of white sand. The sun was hovering a perfect circle over the horizone. A brown clumsy and comical on the ground shot out of a pine tree and soared gracefully over their heads.

Alex felt strangely at peace for some moments forgetting all about the evnts that has happend earlier and all that is still going to happen, he watched as they pass the coastline, the noise of the boat seemed to have drifted away long ago...

After about half an hour on the sea the land began to rise up and Alex realised they had reached the east point of the island. The vegaetation fall back and suddenly he was looking at sheer rock wall that dropped all the way from the top of the moutain into the depths of the sea, forming a square opening at its base, this was the opening that leads to the secret passage way...

Sarov turn off the engine the boat and move back to the back of the boat. He brought out an anchor and throw it into the depths of the sea, he then went back to the front cabin and brought out a flag that represent the international association of scuba divers and hoisted it so as to avert attention of divers also arround the place.

Alex and Juliet came out of the cabin, both dressed up in thier wet suits and oxygen tank at their back. Alex was with a water proof bag, in the bag was a map of the island, a colt pyton pistol, some c4s, a torch, and a nuclear weapon detector. He make the sure all devices was intact before he zipped up the bag. Sarov sat inside the cabin of the boat looking at the two CIA agents, he was thinking how two young couples like them love risking thier lives, he was fascinated and happy to be helping them, he brought out a pack of cigarette, took one and light it.

The two agents make their all important body check, each one checking over the other's equipments. No pipes twisted, air in the tanks, weight and release. Finally they went over to the other side of the boat and sat with thier backs facing the sea. They both put on thier mask and fins. Alex gave juliet the all clear sign, second finger and thumb forming an O with the other fingers raised, they lowered and rolled themselves backwards disappearing into the sea.

The water was dark blue and perfectly clean, they both swam deep into the sea. They were enticed by the beauty of the underwater kingdom, slowly they propelled forward swimming deep into the sea, after swimming for about thirty minutes, Alex was the first to saw the sea wall of the cave entrance, it was more than a wall, the opening was a seething mass of Rock, Alex propelled forward into the cave, the cave was deep pitch black, he brought out his torch and light it, apart from the rock formations of the cave, it was practically empty, soon they were at the second opening of the cave, it leads straight to a narrow ladder. the amount of water had reduced to small by the time they reach the second opening.

Alex was the first to climb the ladder up after dropping their thank and removing thier wet suits, he opened the hatch and threw out the water proof bag with him first, he came out of the hatch into an opening like a mini runway, he tiptoed to the back of a parked truck, thier were many guards with assault rifles partrolling and cabbies moving around, the time was now evening the timing had been perfect, he opend the bag and brought out the c4, and stick one on the truck, he made to turn back and move but he heard the voice of two guards talking, he looked around and saw an empty can of bear, he picked it up and threw it at the guards, the guards were distraceted, he quickly ran over and grab the back of a moving truck, after some seconds he dropped from the truck and rolled over to the other side where their were barrells of oil, he brought out another c4 and stick it on one barrell, he proceed stealthily to a cessna 195 seaplane parked at the jetty and stick another c4 on it. After planting all the c4s with him finish, he proceed into the base...

Alex walked into the base, he saw a locker by a corner, he opened the locker and saw a white lab coat, he took one and wear it, he proceed further into the building, he saw a guard coming his way but he played calm and made a greating sign to the guard by bowing his head a little, the guard looked at him suspiciously, but Alex made no sign to stop or for the guard to say anything as he quickly send a hook punch to the guard throat and strangled his throat, draining lie out of him, he draged the dead body of the guard into an empty room. He walked and and proceed further, soon he saw a room with the inscription SHS192 EXPERIMENTAL LAB written above the door, he wanted to open the door but, the door need as access card to open, he went back and saw short man also in a lab coat coming towards him, he waits at the door side and do as if he was looking for his own key card to open the door, ''can u please help me with the door Dr Tatamovich because i can't seem to find my own key card'' Alex said to the man in Russian, after glancing at the name tag on his coat.

The man saw the stress on Alex's face and smile at him. ''Let me help u with mine'' the man said back in Russian and went to the door, he brought out a card to insert it into the door, Alex gave him no chance to put the card fully into card hole before he strangled him from the back, he drained life out of him and dragged the lifeless body of the doctor back to the room he had dump the dead body of the guard he had first killed, he took the big googles of the dead man, he went back to the door and insert the key card, the door slide opened, he quickly bring out a lab face mask from the pocket of the coat and wear it, he was amazed at what he was looking at, their were dozens of men all sitting on a chair each, with different sires and computers strapped to their heads and bodies, he was surprised, Eric Gunther had already started building his super soldier, he was looking at the doom Gunther had created, he made to quickly exit the laboratory before his identity was blown, but it was too late a guard had found the dead bodies, has the alarm was already sounding.

Juliet had also climbed out from the cave immediately after Alex, but she had went another way, she took the nuclear detector device with her and set off, to find the hatch location of the nuclear war heads.
She saw a guard standing alone at a corner urinating, she tiptoed right to his back, she brought out a knife and she gently slit his throat, she found a truck and dragged the body into the back of the truck, she left the body and follow the direction the locator in her hand was giving her, she made a turn to the left, the device was leading her to a desert place from the island, only few guards were partrolling the area, she saw saw two guards at once, one in a watchtower and the other standing by a corner smoking, he brought out two small knifes, she aim one at the throat of the guard standing in the watch tower, she threw it at him it met and pierce the guards throat, the guard fell down all the way from the top, the second quickly became aware of what just happend, he made for his rifle. Juliet dived towards the guard, not have a clear deadly throw at the guard, she threw the last knife, the knife met the hand of the guard as he was about to carry his rifle, he groans in pain, Juliet quickly launched a swift butterfly kick to the guard chest, the guard staggerd backward, she did not give him a breathing chance as she quicky do a quick and calculated back fling landing with a kick to the guard throat, she grabed the guards head and snapped it, the guard drop down dead. She walk more for some seconds before coming to the front of a big hatch like opening. She had just found the nuclear war heads.

Alex quickly dived out of the laboratory, he swinged into the corridor of the laboratory, he was met by sprays of bullets by the hostile guards, he quickly took cover behind a wall he brought out his colt pyton pistol and started shooting back at the guards, he rolled over from his cover into an open space, he saw, three guards coming his way shooting at him, he quickly rolled back over and sen sprays of bullets at the guards, the bullets hit the guards sproadically, hitting one at his knee, one on the forehead, the last was lucky to have been hit by his arms, Alex quickly, move over from his position, he aimed at a guard standing behind a wall shooting at him, he shot at the guard first by the leg, the guard fall out of his cover, then he send a finishing shot to his head, the guard lay dead, he looked forward and saw more guards coming his way, he checked his bullets only four shots to go, there was only one thing to do, he quickly make a run for it, he dived out from the room, with barrades of bullets after him, he saw a guard coming towards him, he was too late to act as the guard hit him with the butt of his rifle..

Juliet opened the hatch, the war heads were standing before her,

She went insde the hatch and mount on to the top of the war head, she opened the lead carefully, she brought out screw driver from her side bag, and unsrewed some bolts from the war head, she took out a chip from the ward and climb down, she just made the war head disfunctional, she left the first war head and went to the second one, she was about to repeat the same process she did with the first one, when she felt a stinging pain to her neck, she immediately fall down and blackedout.

Eric Gunther and Dimitri Blofed stood watching as Alex and Juliet were brought in to a large room, he was all smiles and happy.
