GSM Companies To Increase Data Rate by Abuleoshi: 4:20pm On Nov 15, 2016
As an insider in one of the GSM companies, i can reliably inform you that data rate will go up 1st December,2016. NCC has mandated all GSM Companies to raise data rates. This is sad, Nigerians should not accept it, Nigerian Government through its agencies should not make life harder for Nigerians!
N1000 Will be 500MB from December 1st 2016.

Lie "dick-tector" the joke will be on you in 2 weeks time when it is announced by the networks!
The essence of me shouting out is to get people to protest against this proposed hike in Data price. Easier to protest against NCC's induced price increment than wait till December 1st when the increment is implemented.

Price of Data will increase. No network will offer you N1000 for 1.5GB from December 1st. I can confirm that N5000 will give you 5GB instead of 10GB. This an NCC's directive to GSM networks.

Oga don't politicize the issue. Data price will increase by December 1st, it affects everybody. It should not reduced to an APC Vs PDP issue. It is this same PDP vs APC matter that the political elites use to deceive us. We are smarter now!

We should stop over dependency on data and diversify. Flying without aircraft, teleporting, disappearing and reappearing etc. Screw this failed govt. I am not APC or PDP, just a Nigerian.

But it's the truth. If it was the previous administration you would see people wailing and abusing the president.

Personally I found out that the more data I have, the more I waste both the data and my time for "irrelevant" things. The nature of my work requires constant but not heavy internet data.

Well it so unfortunate but they are lower data offered by these operators e.g 500mb for N500 for 30 days by Etisalat Nigeria. The sight effect of the imposition of national information Communication development levy is that the customers bears the burden of tax not the operators. Fine you make less use of data but you should have it at the back of your mind that you will be paying 9% NICD plus VAT 5% on same tax payer. Also have it that there's the possibility that most social networks would be forced to pay taxes and the rate of consumption would increase. Probably these network operators may introduce data zapping as some persons call it to enable you buy more data within 30 days.

If you read and understand intelligently, you will comment more intelligently. The initial Post said NCC mandated ALL GSM companies to increase Data price, so how does that have to do with Competition?

I have no reason to, but i don't believe this is true! I think the first thing the NCC should be doing is to force glo to revert their data subscription to their initials.
