Chijioke Obioha was arrested on April 9th 2007 with 2,604.56 grammes of cannabis in Singapore. He was charged, found guilty and sentenced to death in November 2008. Under Singaporean law, trafficking more than 500 grammes of cannabis attracts the death penalty.

His execution has been scheduled for Friday November 18th except the president of the country decides to forgive him.

In as much as I abhor the death sentence we must understand that laws are made to protect the people. There is a law and it must be followed. Saudi Arabia don't even publicise their own executions,they just behead the accused.why traffic drugs to a country you know that if you are caught you will be killed? It makes no sense

He did it this year in Indonesia for a Pilipino woman who was removed from among the condemned prisoner just as she was about to enter the vehicle to convey them to their execution ground

Dey jus say d death sentence so Ppl wld avoid committing such crimes....if u value ur life u wldnt to against d law...m not saying d death penalty is right o but I love ma life so I'd obey d law shikina....but some stubborn guys who don't want to work want quick money and dey end up being caught and d rest z history

Are you trying to change how their system? Most everyone immitate American system? In China penalty for corruption is death sentence and it has been like that for long. It's written so many asia countries visa's that penalty for drug trafficking is death sentence.

The guy was sentenced in 2008 , only God knows what was going on in his mind throughout the years knowing fully well he will die soon.

allahumo amin, that is the more reason my fellow Nigerians should desist from trafficking drugs to those Asia countries. Their law is too hard on drug. They can always get a legitimate business to do. Once again may Allah be wit the family to bear the loss.
