I was actually waiting for a lingard/young entrance to support the fullback in defence. At least they can do that bit very well. JM should never have moved Rashford to the left because of Rooney, Rooney is better at falling back and Rashford is better at worrying CBs.

Generally, you might be right. But on this particular occasion, Rooney did better in the center forward today than Rashford. I didn't see Rashford while in the CF, but he was lively on the wing.

I have looked for excuse to blame Mourinho, but I couldn't find none. He has always done well bringing a player to help defend a narrow lead. Arsenal were always going to come out for the goal because at that time they had nothing to lose. May be if we had Fellaini, we could have defended that Chamberlain's cross.

It is easy to say we could have kept Mata to keep attacking, but it is not 1+1 in football.

I saw that his useless post, I wondered what he meant. We opened Arsenal better when Rooney came on. If Rashford or Pogba were alert they could have done a tap in from Rooney's ball across the goal line.

We were just unlucky. Rashford was inexperienced there. Pogba could have guided him better. Pogba and Rashford were on Chamberlain, Pogba covered the infield while Rashford needed only to cover the lines. Which EPL player gifts Chamberlain that kind of space to run.

I was hoping we would dominate Arsenal without Cazorla.. They've been ordinary since he's got injured but no, our players were just dancing around and taking it easy despite the lot of space in the middle.. All we had to do is to mark out Ozil and Sanchez and proceed to play our game because apart from those 2, Arsenal has no other quality players to hurt us until Giroud came on in the last minutes but we already wasted our moment to take the game to Arsenal.

Even though Mata scored in the game, he did nothing apart from the goal. That's one of the reason I kinda disliked him. He often plays more like a secondary striker, running forward to be at the receiving end of passes, instead of being the one providing the passes and creativity needed in the final third. No wonder Ibra often drops deep to linkup the play, especially when Pogba's customary chipped passes to him fails.. As for Pogba, I really don't understand what he contributed on the pitch today.. The only positive is Carrick keeping Ozil in his pocket throughout the match.

And whatzup with Mourinho always going defensive as soon as the team managed to score a goal? Imagine bringing in Schneiderlin to see off the match... He's just not serious!

As for Arsenal, I keep laughing at their deployment of Sanchez as a false striker.. Instead of deploying Giroud to create the presence upfront, they would rather play Sanchez! Not only are they taking away one of his best quality, which is constantly running at the opponent from the wing but also the fact that Sanchez isn't a false 9. And as soon as Ozil gets subdued/marked out, he becomes more isolated upfront with nothing to do apart from picking his nose. Even Ozil would do better in that false striker role than Sanchez because he's got better awareness and the movement to draw out opposition defenders than Sanchez. As a matter of fact, Ozil played the false 9 role for Germany in their 2014 world cup qualifying matches and was consistently their best player throughout those qualifiers.. Even Walcott is far better than Sanchez in the role except for his poor finishing..

Another is Ox.. I still don't know why Wenger haven't moulded him into one of these box-box CMs. He's got all the attributes for that role and has always been consistently fantastic in that role for example, the Bayern and Milan matches.. If I were Wenger, Ox woulda been my favourite replacement for the injured Cazorla in the midfield than say Elney/Ramsey but no, Wenger prefers him on the bench or the wing where he often looks abject, he was decent on the wing when he came on today though.

Anyway na their business.
