Once toilet water splashes on me, I already know what's coming and give it two days, it does. I just carry myself to the pharmacy to get neopenotran. It works like magic.

This is something I have experienced personally a few times. I agree that there are other causes of the infection but direct contact with bacteria from the toilet shouldn't be ruled out.

Practically people are getting infected from toilets and your are here talking about the level of knowledge you have. If you have a sister or babe, let her go use some pit toilets and let's see. Afterwhich you will update your knowledge.

Medically, there is nothing like toilet infection of the vagina. Most of the time, it is an STI.
Could also be Vulvovaginal candidiasis which can happen to virgins and non virgins alike due to factors such as douching, hormone levels, emotional state, washing down there with medicated soap and what not. Those shouting that the splash from water from the toilet is the cause of the itching, that's just your mind playing tricks on you. Just wash with a mild soap and you're fine. I finished from medical school in 2013 and I was never taught of toilet infections, and read up the medical school materials of 3 different countries. So if you have research to prove otherwise, kindly post it here.

That's very wrong. When a woman catches a vagina infection like Candidiasis,it doesn't necessarily mean it came from sex.
Poor hygeine and dirty toilets are big causative factors. What can you say about a 10yr old virgin girl with such infections?
A patient is asked if she is practising unwholesome sex activities,where that is not the case, then it is blamed on dirty toilets and very poor hygeine.
Yes, certain infections are passed through unclean toilets.
Another factor that lead to infection is through the use of non cotton pants or wet pants.
It is advised that women wear cotton undies because cotton dries quickly and prevents the accumulation of mucus that can introduce germs to the vigirna.
Women are also advised to stop sticking dirty fingers inside their virgina. Wash your hands before and after changing your pads.
Change your pads immediately it's soiled/full.
Make sure your undies are 100percent dry before using it and make sure they are spread under the sun or in a ventilated area.
For the sexually active ones, encourage your man to wash his hands and trim his nails regularly,to avoid introducing foreign elements inside you.
There are a couple of things that cause infections in women, Op should stop giving stuppid lectures to the public!

The problem with u guys is that u mistake UTI for STDs cos they have similar symptoms. NOTHING like Toilet disease.

UTI is another kettle of fish. UTI infects the urethra and possibly the kidneys, not the vagina. Symptoms of UTI is painful and frequent urination. When I was 6 mths preg I had pyleonephritis, UTI that had gotten to my kidneys. The infection triggered premature labour... If not for God eh! It would have been another story. I was admitted, placed on antibiotics upon antibiotics for days and was drinking bottles and bottles of water to flush the kidneys, in addition to iv fluids. It was a race against time. UTI can be such a disaster if not treated early.

you can do more to update your knowledge by going to the streets, public conveniences, face me I face you houses, ask questions,carry out researches and then investigate. You are doing well by seeking for more information here but don't let all you have read in school limit you. You can prove me wrong by letting ur GF go use an infected toilet for one week and come out clean.

Here is the summary of this thread in my own "expertise"

Many things can give u d itch. But most likely not from the toilet. Op mentioned 3 common infections

Candida is not an sti or uti or toilet infection. U get candidaisis when the natural balance is tipped between the lactobacili (bacteria) and candida (fungus) who live in d vagina in an uneasy harmony. If you take antibiotics u will kill most of d lactobacili and then candida will proliferate and then u will itch like mad. This is candidiasis. Failing to wipe after peeing is also a bug culprit. Pls wipe with clean tissue paper cos if pee remains on ur panties, candida is yeast and it proliferate in such moist conditions. This is why they call it toilet infection. Cos y'all ladies dont wipe after peeing.

Bacterial vaginosis is the reverse when the lactobacili is higher than candida. It can also be very annoying.

If u poop and fail to wipe properly, u will get ecoli or staph or strep b bacteria into ur kitten which can upset ur balance. Hence the so called toilet infection. So babes, no be toilet infect you. What the heck, its not even an sti. It's just poor hygiene. So you need to step up the cleanliness.

Also hormonal imbalance can mess up d vaginal environment. Especially pregnancy.

For your info, the deadly stis don't even give signs. I mean them gono and chlamydia. They just breed silently and destroy stuff. If d woman is lucky she may present with PID and when they test, they see she has chronic gonorrhea or xhlamydia that never gave signs. It's only men that start showing symptoms.

What about HPV that leads to cervical cancer? There's a lot of sht out there to worry about that do not itch.

My qualification? BSc Parasitology with lab experience in medical microbiology. So all these big names we are calling, we played with them at one point in time.

Also, how come no one has pointed out the Staph is not an STD? Staph is a normal flora of the human body and when we practice poor hygiene it can get into d vagina and become a nuisance? I stand to be corrected though

One cause of vaginal infections that people overlook is the use of all these hygiene sprays and washing inside the vagina with water and other perfumed materials. Medically it is called douching.

Vaginas are designed to self clean..when you use these artificial sprays and cleansers, you change the pH of the vagina and remove all the natural flora (microorganisms) that are meant to clean it and protect it from external infections.

If you already have an infection, get it treated. Once its healed, stop using sprays and cleansers to clean your vagina.

Some people just come on NL with limited knowledge to say all sorts, I doubt you are a pharmacist, because I have pharmacist siblings and they don't talk like they are in an enclosure like you are now.
Are you saying there are no infections gotten through the toilet then I shake my head for you and your lecturers in school because they are to blame and for you not studying too before spewing this all over!
Next time carry out you research well before you come and start giving half baked information.
