Wow! If I had seen this thread, would have joined it long before starting my fish farm. Am just a week old in the business. Started with 1000 fingerlings. My only problem for now is d drainage. After about 4days I noticed some sediments at d bottom of the pond. All effort made in changing the water still left lots of sediments which easily pollutes the water after about 2 days wouldn't want changing water every two days as this will definitely stress the fish. So far, I've recorded about 30deaths. Am confused, need advice asap. Also how do I get the kit for testing water. Am based in Awka. Please help a baby farmer

Hello sir, after you have drained the water, pump in fresh water and still leave the outlet open for about 10 minutes before closing, it allows for proper flushing of waste..

Good evening great fish farmers. I am so delighted to belong here and have sure learned a great deal of lessons from all members. I stumbled on this topic about two weeks ago and have just arrived at this present page. I started Fish Farming February this year, I am in my third stock with many experiences of bad luck and gained experiences which I have taken positively. The first 2 stocks were overseen by 2 different people while the 3rd and present stock are been handled by me and I see a marvelous improvement. My present stock is 2 months and a day old.
I wish to thank Robonski for creating this thread and all for bluntly saying everything as it should be.

Pls.... I will love to be added to any WhatsApp group to gain better experience since I am new and inexperienced in catfish farming.

And also, I will love to connect with other farmers in Abuja, Suleja, and Minna.
