Thesedays When you see two people say I love you and they mean it brother clap for them, people are too busy fighting recession that love is becoming 2nd choice, my own story is about my best female friend. We used to fight in sec school days but we became friends when social media hit us together again, she became my very good friend as she was always there for me, but all along I had started to admire her great attitude, coolness and perhaps her black beauty. She used to tell me she doesn't dig love. But I thought she'll be able to pluck it. Lol. I continued like this for years until late this year she said something that surprised me. She told me to stop treating her like my gf and I asked how..she said I was too caring. I ignored her for a while. But I missed here too much so we started communicating again. So recently she sent a message out of the blue and asked if I was Crushing on her truly, I'm like do I just come clean? I obliged and she asked since when? I told her since when I had sense. She laughed and said she didn't want to hurt me or our friendship. Instantly I knew she has just stylishly said NO....I kept cool. But I felt pain because I knew one of these days its either she gets to meet a good guy or a bad guy. The second one is more common. So respected her decision even after I tried failed attempts to convince her.

I learnt these things I will like to share.

1. Best friends do not easily make best lovers,best lovers result to best friends.

2. If you love someone, forget all the "get to know him/her first..." Just go ahead and say it after few moments together. Love at first sight does exist. A lady knows a guy she likes or will get to like when she sees him.

3. Ladies don't like "Nice guys". This is awkward but totally true. Being too kind to her will make you her friend,then a brother. Sometimes you've to leave your partner with " what did he just do?" Expression. Same applies to ladies in love.

4. If he/she says no...move on....you'll have to learn this. But it is the best thing to do. Most times you find that it makes those that rejected you know you are not some lovesick puppy.

5. Sooner or later you'll find someone that cares.

6. Love isn't being kind,excited,aroused and all that. If you love then you have a responsibility then. To protect, to help, to cherish, to correct, to observe, to respect, to understand, to let go, to sacrifice only when neccessary,to admire your lover always. That's why relationships do not last longer than my data plans these days. Because most people love to date, rather than date to love.
