No disrespect, y'all can keep whatever color of passport y'all want....So far, it has taken me far without restriction ! I'll keep my "blue passport" and always RENEW my "green" one 4ever.
The day I took seriously the worth of one's passport was the day, dutch police men raided an area in amsterdam where I was visiting family and friends. I was with 2 of my Ex " great Uniben " classmates laughing and gisting away the evening with a couple of their friends when the police men frisked all of us. they interrogated us for close to 45 minutes. they took some of the guys to their resident to show prove of their legal stay in holland. I told them, I'm a U.S citizen and a Navy reservist and that my documents are at my uncle's house where I am staying.they didnt take me serious. they attended to every single person in a timely manner except me( not sure if its because I don't speak dutch). when it got to my turn, I simply told them I'm not leaving with them that they ignored me with no coffee or water as I thirst away..I requested for them to call the U.S consulate or transport me there. The head of the police men, who is the only one that understands english very well, told me, I'll have to show prove of legal admittance to holland first before they can take me to the U.S Consulate. while this was going on, I already called my Uncle's son at home to bring my duffy bag which contains my documents. My uncle's son is fluent in dutch, so when he got to the scene, he spoke to one of the police men that he'd like to hand over my documents to me. the police officer refused to accept it and asked him to move few feet away from the scene. after much conversation with the head of the police men present, I decided to tell him that infact, my documents are here but one of your officers (pointing at the officer) refused to look at it...( I lied on the officer intentionally ). He immediately ask the officer a question and later ask me to tell my uncle's son to bring the bag. all said and done, he checked out all my documents and apologized for detaining me. He asked if I still wanted to be transported to the U.S consulate, I said No but i'd like an official written apology from his people. He said he would do that and send it to the U.S embassy. He took down my name and passport number. in all, one person was taken away because his visa had expired..he was from Lebanon. I returned to the state, had forgotten about the whole incident, and about 4 months later, a certified mail arrived at my house from the U.S Dept. of states. gUYS It was a letter of apology from the mayor of the city of amsterdam stating that the incident involving his officers was simply a misunderstanding and that they welcome me back to their city and whenever I do, I have an invitation to the city's parliament.
I shared this story to illustrate why I will always keep my "blue passport" ...It is very well respected.
Even though na green pali i dey rock, I can never regret giving my daughter the opportunity to own that BLUE-P, plus all other children that will come. Their matter nor go be like my own.

unmask: make we stay dey do wetin?
A very good question.

With Nigerian passport you'll always get lots of delays and serious ALERT at some airport abroad while in Nigeria with green Passport you'll die rotten when you fall seriously hill while the same greedy leaders are getting top treatment your money.

British P free medicals.

Don't be an hero for criminal looting your wealth because of Green P but take advantage of any good European or American P if it comes your way because your life is serious danger and your GREEN P is worthless.

Not even free movement within common wealth nations.

Anyway the Japanese are the only nationality that do not require a visa to China.

I figure in today's world that is the most valued passport.
Forget all the Euro hype.

You are living in denial by your comments.

Nigerians definitely get harassed by the criminal working at the airport while Top countries get preferential treament because they can't stand their diplomatic trouble or been sacked.

You are quoting me out of context.
It is faster to get cleared if you travel to Nigeria with your Nigerian passport.

I mean when you get into Nigeria, there is a separate line for Nigerians which is express,
other nationals have a separate line.
I have never had any trouble getting into Nigeria with my green passport.

lol
That is what happens to countries who are always cap in hand for one financial aid or the other.
when they dash you money Aka foreign aid, they see you as a hungry soul who wont return to his country if given the opportunity to leave, hence the visa segregation.
watch closely the bottom 10 countries.

Ummm, do Nigeria as a country with abundance resources should be given aids?.....Hell NO.

Are Nigerians truely an hungry souls? huh Yes of course we are ...reasons.

1* We are very greedy in nature.
2* Our work ethic us completely CRAP.
3* We lack direction and engage in unrealistic things, e.g Our priorities are always wrong.
4* We always wants to eat what didn't work for.
5* We have CRIMINALS AS POLITICIANS.
6* Finally nothing is REAL about Majority of Nigerians life style as they love to live above their means.

Please get any European Passport if you can because you'll be treated better than back home.

I don't even know why it's called home when you are more like a foreigner, must know OGA AT THE TOP before you can get a job, we are in a mess.

Maybe you are the one who knows little about our country, or is even living in denial, because the shape of our country is not nice, but we can work together to change it
