Nigeria will get there or coming from there? till 80s Nigerian passport was visa free to almost all the countries in the world , until your leaders began to tell the visa free countries to withdraw them so that only them and their co crooks could be going there with their diplomatic passports.

For eg, haven't you seen how your new president is going around asking some countries to be giving only the Nigerians with diplomatic passports and business investors visa free to their countries. Eg South Africa.

OBJ , finished what IBB started by traveling round the world telling many countries to be deporting Nigerians , and stopping the visa free bilateral agreements with Nigeria. He even insulted Nepal for being visa free to Nigeria, since then the Nepalese government stopped Nigerians entering their country under visa free status.

Many countries say it is because of crime, while we have many countries who have more deadly criminals more than Nigeria, eg, USA, UK, Brazil, Mexico, Jamaica, some Arab countries, South Africa, but still they are enjoying visa free more than Nigeria.

Our hungry Journalists are also culpable for always rushing to publish any single crime both verified and unverified news about the Nigerian citizens in Diaspora while many countries select the news they publish about their citizens. I am not supporting crime but we should be cautious in spreading false and image tarnishing news about Nigeria and its citizens both home and in Diaspora. Forget about visa free as a Nigerian my dear.

All the countries that helped our greedy rulers to destroy our economy by save guarding all their looted/stolen funds , turned around and made travel very easy for the rulers and their co thieves , while making travel very difficult for ordinary citizens of Nigeria.

I could remember in 1981 when my uncle escorted his friend to the United States Embassy at Eleke Crescent VI Lagos then, the officials at the embassy asked him if he was not interested to study in the US then, when he convinced my uncle instantly he connected my uncle with the University of Little Rock Arkansas in the US , the same day my uncle was given admission and he went the following day to collect his visa and resigned from the NPA then and traveled , now his is Dr PHD in Accountancy. He is a chartered Accountant now. But today the US embassy treats Nigerians like ANIMALS because of their visa. While the Ogas at the top and their cronies go to the USA like going to the toilet.

The day I took seriously the worth of one's passport was the day, dutch police men raided an area in amsterdam where I was visiting family and friends. I was with 2 of my Ex " great Uniben " classmates laughing and gisting away the evening with a couple of their friends when the police men frisked all of us. they interrogated us for close to 45 minutes. they took some of the guys to their resident to show prove of their legal stay in holland. I told them, I'm a U.S citizen and a Navy reservist and that my documents are at my uncle's house where I am staying.they didnt take me serious. they attended to every single person in a timely manner except me( not sure if its because I don't speak dutch). when it got to my turn, I simply told them I'm not leaving with them that they ignored me with no coffee or water as I thirst away..I requested for them to call the U.S consulate or transport me there. The head of the police men, who is the only one that understands english very well, told me, I'll have to show prove of legal admittance to holland first before they can take me to the U.S Consulate. while this was going on, I already called my Uncle's son at home to bring my duffy bag which contains my documents. My uncle's son is fluent in dutch, so when he got to the scene, he spoke to one of the police men that he'd like to hand over my documents to me. the police officer refused to accept it and asked him to move few feet away from the scene. after much conversation with the head of the police men present, I decided to tell him that infact, my documents are here but one of your officers (pointing at the officer) refused to look at it...( I lied on the officer intentionally ). He immediately ask the officer a question and later ask me to tell my uncle's son to bring the bag. all said and done, he checked out all my documents and apologized for detaining me. He asked if I still wanted to be transported to the U.S consulate, I said No but i'd like an official written apology from his people. He said he would do that and send it to the U.S embassy. He took down my name and passport number. in all, one person was taken away because his visa had expired..he was from Lebanon. I returned to the state, had forgotten about the whole incident, and about 4 months later, a certified mail arrived at my house from the U.S Dept. of states. gUYS It was a letter of apology from the mayor of the city of amsterdam stating that the incident involving his officers was simply a misunderstanding and that they welcome me back to their city and whenever I do, I have an invitation to the city's parliament.
I shared this story to illustrate why I will always keep my "blue passport" ...It is very well respected.

I only remember possessing a Nigerian Passport, when I am headed to Nigeria and only pull out my Nigerian Passport on arrival at Nigeria's International Airport. Blue Passport has no competition. The life of a homeless American is worth more to her government than that of a Nigerian Billionaire to a Nigerian government. Imagine, US navy seals going all out to rescue a commercial Ship Captain in Somalia's deep seas. That mission alone cost the United States government over 2million dollars. My Blue Passport and that of my kids and grand kids will stay intact. If you don't know, Nigerians are hated all over the world.

Most naija big boys own houses in the United States and United Kingdom, I doubt you have been to Ghana. I have played Polo with those guys at Ikoyi Polo club and they don't have your primitive mentality. If given the opportunity the one's that travel around the world with green passport, will Jump on a Blue or Red Passport in a speed of light. Do you know how inconvenience it is going to a country's embassy to obtain a visa to that country? I don't know where most european embassies are in Lagos or Abuja, all I care about is getting a flight ticket to that country before the price increases. Your Immigration officer treats Nigerians with green passport like animals but respect American citizens and sometimes give them preferential treatment at the point of entry. I love the luxury of owning an American Passport and also the covenience
