Okay, journey of 6 months officially came to an end today at around 7am. God bless the VO that approved my visa. i really dunno where to start from, but anytime i remember how the journey started with Lagosismyhome paying my application fee without collecting a dime, i'm always jolted back to sobriety. I'd drop transcript shortly.
Special shoutout to my virtual family; God's own scholars, especially Prof Charles, Adebimpe (aka Wikipedia), Egbon Kenny of Illinois, and Femi - i swear if this guy na VO, nobody go dey receive visa grin. i also appreciate Pastor Walspring, Texrem, Sureboy grin,Francis, Bobority ... the list is endless mehn.
Goodluck to those going for their interview this week and the subsequent ones. I love this family mehn. God bless you all.

Congrats bro! i am so happy for u

Did u but ur greyhound bus ticket from nigeria....or u got it in the states
kenniez26:
............now inside the plane, the same set of gadgets, the gadget also had a port where u can connect ur USB cable and charge ur fone.I watched film tired, listen to jay z music, Kanye West etc.we were served food and drinks two different separate time in the plane.men turkey to new York is far ooooo.Almost 11 hrs, I guess.

We landed in jfk international airport safely. waited and collected my luggage Straight to the the POE.i submitted my passport, my i-20 and one immigration form I filled while inside the plane the officer.
Officer :which state are going to
Me : Illinois
Officer : what is the name of your school:
Me : southern Illinois university
Officer: do u have a relative in Illinois
Me: no
Officer : are u a new student or returning student
Me : new student
Officer :Good enjoy ur stay in USA
Me: Thanks.
I did my finger print, passport scan and stamped
After this, I was asked to see another guy.
Men, I was completely search and my two bags were searched also. After the searching, I was told welcome to united state of America.

I use the internet at jfk for 30 minutes before it stop working after which I have to go to kiosk within the airport to obtain ultra Mobile sim for 65 dollars, with this u can call Nigeria and Usa nos as long as u like for a month and also with 1 gig but unfortunately i was told my fone is not compatible with the sim that the sim is 4g while my fone(infinix hot 2 x510) is a 3g fone. Thanks God, I quickly collect my 65 dollars back.

From jfk,i took air train to Jamaica station and I paid 5 dollars, after this I paid another 2 dollars for e-train and I got down at 42nd Street greyhound bus station for my greyhound bus to Illinois.new York to Illinois is almost 21 hrs that is like a day journey and we had like 6 stop over.
America is beautiful. beautiful mega cities, clean and well structured cities, no traffic from new York to Illinois, beautiful landscape, free internet inside greyhound bus station and inside bus, 24 hrs light, Good road network, beautiful high rise structures.you won't understand until u are here that is when u can testify that these people have gone in term of development and infrastructures.

Thanks femi23 for description of Jamaica station from jfk.I have completed my long POE transcript.I sign out for now.

I dont know but the rate depends on the rate of the day they actually do the transaction. Try First bank but Form A right now is long thing. Just start the process fast and hope within a month they will do it.My month used first bank, about 3months ago.

Hello.... Am new here.. I greet everybody, u guys r doing a gud job.. Please i have 3 questions to ask..

1 i have recently applied for undergrad studies for the fall 17 semester, but the school i applied to do not actually have a dedicated portal where u can log in and view ur admission status... I was only sent an identification form to my email after application, please do i have to worry about this?

2 when will schools start looking at applications and rolling out admission for fall 17? I read that its usually after the fall deadling(june/july), someone also told me jan/feb..

3 in the international affidavit of support form, its says i should write the dollar eqivalent of what is in my sponsor's bank acct, please at what exchange rate do i convert the naira to dollar?
Is it cbn rate, or my sponsor's bank rate or parallel market rate? Since they are all different.
Please i need answers thank you.

LSU is also like that, infact their petroleum engr dept. is the only school in the US, with a full scale well facility, like a live well.

Although I will add that, Tx A&M college station has more alumni in the oil and gas industry. Companies also recruit heavily at LSU.

I don't think their is any way you can do the transfer since the code was sent to your naija number. You should have applied for FBN Online banking before leaving naija, with your token, you can always send money to any Account in naija from anywhere in the world.
You can call First contact on 0700347782668 or send them a Mail firstcontact@firstbanknigeria.com or search them on facebook to chat a staff up.

Is Texas A & M in New Orleans. Is Mobil Headquarter in College Station ? Mtchewwwwwww. I actually know what I am saying!

Agreed, like LSU, Texas A & M has great opportunities. However University of Texas at Austin even has better opportunities than Texas A & M. But getting into these two schools is not beans. Admission is like hell. In contrast, LSU has good acceptance rate with same opportunities. This is the attraction.

Oh! You have defended me already! You are a wise man. Austin gets more recruitment than college station. Both schools are top school with very competitive admission why LSU ha's high acceptance rate. Thanks my guy

Exactly, you nailed it. Getting into UT Austin and Texas A&M is tougher, a professor has to be willing to take you in.

Infact I have been trying to get a potential advisor at Texas A&M, the only two profs that have replied, said they're not taking new grad students. The rest after multiple mails, nothing yet. I guess I will try CSM now.

Haha, much thanks to you rather. Austin is the apotheosis. Yeah, LSU has higher acceptance rate.
