Now I'm free from pastors who try sooo hard to impress cos that's where their daily bread comes from - showbiz.
Now I'm free from pastors who distort the word of God just to suite their uncanny desires
Now I'm free from pastors who spend 3weeks out of 4 preaching about tithes and offering as if that's what would take us to heaven
Now I'm free from uncontrolled noise levels and Sunday Sunday headaches cos churches wanna outdo themselves
Now I'm free from arbitrarily organising 7days special programmes, 3 days vigils etc cos the more the programmes, the more the offering.
Now I can worship on Sunday, learning the undiluted word of God from the pulpit that wouldn't fail to condemn sin and wrong doings, cos he isn't feeding from your tithes.
I can go on and on and on. ........

i live here in ota and i dont attend winners chapel but i can beat my chest and tell u that 90 percent of the community in ota enjoy power because of oyedepo. He provided transformer for almost all the community there

The writer even blasphemed in interpreting the word. The verses he cited never said that Prophets should give money to his members but it says that the prophet should care not what to wear and eat because people will provide for him.
Notwithstanding, it is only a fool will take this writing serious. This ministry you are mentioning has made millions of members rich, healed them, saved them from spiritual attack and most of all helped them gain salvation. It is God's plan to make everyone rich but you must first believe.
Look, if you do not give, you remain poor but if you give God will bless you with riches. The problem the writer has is that he does not study the Bible to know what it says about giving.
I am a living testimony of giving. I gave what costed me so much and within a year, God blessed beyond what I gave. So, I tell people to give and do not mind what pastors use for. The money goes to the ministry of God and it blesses the less privileged

You guys should understand that aside being a pastor, this man is also a business man. A very good one at that. Cos he is a pastor doesn't mean he shouldn't enjoy his life. That he owns a jet worth millions doesn't mean he isn't helping the less privileged. How many of the people condemning him are actually helping those in need.? It isn't just about how much you have. It's about about how much you're willing to give.

Understanding is bliss! Freeze works for his money, he earns the money, he is an OAP, he gets deal and businesses. So therefore he has rights to all he earns. If he doesn't offer help to the needy, he has moral right not to. But a Pastor who earns money off members offerings and tithes, with mostly poor people as members who seeks the face of God for their blessings and materials gains. It is only right that these pastors helps the needy in the church. These pastors drives on fast and exoctic cars on members money, Are you blind to these facts?

A pastor owing universities, Private Jets, Cars, Houses and to top it all been arrogant about it..

You did not understand my comment. I never defended anyone, I only justified to need to do the little or whatever we can with our own resources.

I'm not a fan of the aforementioned pastor or any pastor for that matter, I only said his way of life is no different from the person he is accusing.

Yes Mr. Freeze may own businesses that fetches him money to foot his love for watches (mind you, I and Freeze share the same interest in watches so I understand such love as it is my passion too to always trend with the latest timepiece).

Akon is also a businessman with juicy endorsements but he is transforming the lives of millions in Africa through his project. Mr. Freeze, with all his business deals and profit can be assumed to be selfish 'cos he would rather use his profits or income to buy a timepiece to satisfy his insatiable need for high end watches rather than give back to his society or impact in the lives of his people (except he wants to do it for show).
The pastor too, from what I have learnt owns several published bestselling books to his name and can comfortably make a living from it too.

I don't think anyone owes anybody any explanation on how one decides to spends his money. In this case Freeze doesn't have any moral right to accuse or criticise the pastor 'cos he does exactly the same thing too.

cos he is a pastor doesn't mean he should wear rag, walk with tattered shoe and eat one meal a day, pls if you're not comfortable with people paying tithe to the church, lead a protest or tell the senate to pass a law to stop churches from receiving tithes..
