Documents for USA can only notorised by a USA authorized notary public.
Just walk into the consulate in Lagos from Monday to Thursday between 10 am to 2pm. All the forms you need are there free fill the one you require and it will be notorised for you.
I don't know how much it is right now with the dollar increase just go with NGN 100k you will surely come back with a lot of change.
You can also check the website and send mail to LagosNIV@state.gov for the must up to date information.

@Chibertha.. This is not true any nigerian Lawyer who is a NOTARY PUBLIC CAN SIGN AND STAMP FOR U. You can also go to US embassy, that is also acceptable. when i had my baby a naija lawyer in Nigeria did it and my hubby posted it to me. That was what I used. The US emnassy thing go be long thing cos u will book appt and all. Notary Public officers are plenty in Lagos Island Obalende and all and will do it kia kia for a small fee. Dont stress urself.

It is always good to take time to read things
As for any lawyer not a USA notary public doing it I doubt if it will be accepted.

Stop blabbing and giving wrong info here!

@Justwise and other experienced pple,

Biko, question o. I had my son last year in US and we discovered he needs a surgery now for a small medical condition. If we decide that he shld go to the US for the surgery, will it be right to apply for medicaid? since he is a citizen?

Lool, feddy baby let's take it easy. She joined the thread towards the end of the last part, actually according to what I have read here, I gathered some states take only us embassy notarized while some take public notary & embassy.
Please all, let's take advice from those who have experienced it first-hand or those who have been reading from part 1

Thank you for understanding me better. Its actually my first trip to the US and its my first baby so everything ve been seeing on here has been like jibrish to me. If i go now I wud still be able to have my baby get the documents before the 6 months elapses as I am due in March. But i ll just do the former u advised. I ll go, come bck, then travel bck. When going on the second trip do I still need to send a change of intent mail to theembassy? Thanks a lot for your response.

I dont think it will hurt to send the mail. Its more like a notification of intent to birth in d US.
I hope it all works out

Lol.. no worries at all. grin grin grin

Yes, some states don't accept the ones notarized outside the embassy

But her posts reads that she gave birth at West Houston, of which Houston accepts from either embassy or notary public. I expected her to know better when answering.

Then again, 100k kwa to return wit plenty change cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

This is not the first of such misleading advises from her.

As usual wrong info.

I used any lawyer for my baby's own. As most people have. It will be great to verify your info before posting to avoid misleading people.

@modele35 I read somewhere that you are not entitled to medicaid if you (your child) is not resident in the US. However more informed persons will respond. It's well with your kid IJN.

Hello everyone. In the spirit of giving back. Got into usa yesterday with my 2yr LO. Flight was Lufthansa and it was great both to Frankfurt and NY.

At new York I used the machine and was directed to a very cute young Cbp

Cbp: Hello madam
Me: HI
Cbp: what's your purpose of visit
Me: Vacation and childbirth
Cbp: staring at me ....childbirth? ?
Me: Yes
Cbp: oh so you are pregnant
Me: yes (wasn't showing as I'm 28wks)
Cbp: How long will u be staying and wit who
Me: staying with My Dad and for 4 months
Cbp: is he a citizen or resident
Me: citizen
Cbp: stamps me in for 6 month....Enjoy your stay

No sec inspection and no document checked. Was directed to agric....asked if I have yam, Maggi and veg....said No and he told me to go. Had my visa before I got pregnant and I've used it for vacation. Still sent letter of intent
Thank God for a smooth journey and successful poe.

It's a tricky one, flying in to use Medicare and fly out again will not get you in a good book with the embassy. Pay for the surgery if you can afford. That is me personally.

@Justwise, I initially asked if i could use my husband's company, he is one of the directors and someone here still insisted i shouldn't try it and that was why i went further to ask what if i was just an employee?

Please clarify, now are you saying i can use my husband's company?

Use his bank statement and not that of the company. He get share of the profit from the company right?

In the spirit of giving back,
Flew Turkish airline to New York and American airline from New York to Houston with my 2years old son.
At JFK the cbp asked why I came, told him Childbirth and vacation,
He asked how long I intend to stay, told him 8weeks. And he took my finger prints and stamped us in.no other question was asked,no document was requested for.
No secondary inspection and at the agric section was directed to the exit door.my bag wasn't checked so all my foodstuff scaled through.the Poe was a breeze to the Glory of God.

Currently in Houston, will be using HNWMC and Doctor Xydas.
More testimonies coming soon

Welcome to the thread

This is a Do-It-Yourself thread.

Use google, search, call the hospitals until you get what you want.

Milwaukee has lots of hospitals cos it's a regional medical centre I think

Do your home work then come back and ask specific questions
