Boss, the way I understand it is that the dollar has already been converted to bitcoin, so what the person is buying is bitcoin and not dollar, and currently bitcoin is higher than dollar.
exactly, bitcoin rate varies though, but am sure it still going to be higher than western union

Oh! I see. So you may probably lose outeventually if you convert your US dollar cash to Bitcoin and then start looking for buyer to sell your bitcoin to. Right?

Assuming I used my $100 cash to buy $70 worth of Bitcoin.
I can use western union to send my raw cash at N375/$ which is N37500
or Sell my $70 worth Bitcoin at N520 which will give N36400.

So it all all depends and how much rate you got your Bitcoin with your physical dollars. The profit will only be guarantee if $1 cash exchange for $1 bitcoin
getting 70$btc at 100$ is not possible, at least for now. You check selling rate before you purchase, and if it not favorable, you use money gram/western.

Side note :lot of people would av been pulling lot of $$ here in Nigeria with this, if not cos of the $100 monthly limit. So you get bitcoin, and can't send $$ back, just 100$,dunno if there is any other means though.

Oh! I1 bitcoin

No, it is not like that. for example, if you live in usa, open coinbase account as adviced.

Assuming you have opened it, link your wellsfargo account/debit card/credit card to your coinbase account and have $100 transferred to your coinbase account. After verification, u av got $100.

Now you can open account with instantgold, naira4dollar etc and place the order online. Once you sell the $ to them you will sell $ 99 due to charges and your Nigerian account will be credited

Now multiply $99 x 460 (today exchange rate) and compare with western union of $100 x 375. Mind you, you still have to pay WU charges

Mrjojo, apart from coinbase, you can try circle.com it has a weekly limit of $300 though and very reliable

My Boss, BTC is expensive than dollars. Presently $1 in ur BTC account worth N520 as at today and if you want to sell it for N460.

As at monday, I sold my $170 in BTC account for 495N/$1

Its legit and pple are always rushing to buy bitcoin

This is because the bitcoin rate is very unpredictable, it could skyrocket in the next minute. Bitcoin is higher than dollar because as many people are going into bitcoin mining, getting just 0.5 bitcoin takes forever even with a solid hardware and lot of energy (electricity) consumption.

Yeap and since then it has had major crashes (significant decline in value) in almost every year or every other year .....I remember when the lamentations in 2013 . Havent followed it much

but again use it with Caution . Legal Tender is still the most sustainable and reliable method

Something is definitely wrong with some Nigerians and lack of common sense. MMM's gone down the drain and I wouldn't be surprised to hear more people are getting sick.

No wonder the country is in such a mess with rubbish like this permitted in the first place.

For those new guys entering US through New York be warned, we are having arctic blast from now to weekend. A fast cold wind with snow (still light snow for now). Put on that your winter coat, layer them if possible and don't forget it inside your check-in luggage. Don't come and turn to iced stock fish in US. Cheers!

You guys are talking about bitcoin as if it's a new technology..The main thing about bitcoins is checking selling rates before you buy, but even that can change overnight. Recently selling prices have taken a dive and are forecasted to go down even more by the end of the year. You can't compare it to MMM and other ponzi schemes, but it has its risks as well.

I will be very stupid and selfish of me not to share my transcript here. Thank God for Great things he has done. I got approved today, thanks Jesus, the mighty man in battle. Straight to transcript.
Got to embassy at Abuja, then went inside for 9 am, after which we were lined up.
Conversation between me and the VO.
Me:Good morning.
VO:morning, pass your i-20 and passport.
Me: here,
Looked at it for some seconds, then asked why concordia college.
Meh I chose concordia college because of its specialty, it has a student to faculty ratio of 11:1 percent. And it also has a record of its students graduating between four years of starting college or less.
Vo:why economics.
Me: I chose economics because I want to be an entrepreneur and I I have this curiosity of wanting to know why people do what they do, the unlimited wants and needs and I believe that economics will prepare me for a future of been an entrepreneur.
VO: ok, name economists you know.
Meh Lionel robbinson, okonjo iweala, idika kalu idika, ...
VO:okay.
Then begins typing for some times, and I was just praying inside of me that this man should abeg give me the white paper.
The VO turns and said: okay, ur visa has been approved, picks the white paper and gave me with a slip. Wish you well on your studies. I immediately turns to Diego Costa outside the interview hall. I began making the sign of the cross and muller's(my best striker) hand raising celebration, and ran out of the consulate.
Help me thank God ooo.
I connect to your grace oh>>>

i will not recommend this university (i think i have mentioned it to you before or maybe not ) ......... International students , the Dollar is very high so pick good schools or at least a standard public University with at least an ok job recruitment prospect because LIFE AFTER GRADUATION Is even more important than student days ....

Personally i feel there are some schools that when u finish to find a job with h1B will be a huge struggle . Stafford University among others come to mind .......and then if it is a course like MBA , that is so competitive , to find job with Strafford "not to small work oo "

It easy for us to say something is wrong with Nigerians. You cant really blame them when the economy is very bad,the government is sleeping, people are losing their jobs and cost of living is high. There is school fees to be paid, rent to be paid etc. You prefer people resort to illegal means of livelihood?..Just thank God for your own life and family. There is suffering in that country called Nigeria.

I never asked anyone to restore to illegal means of life. You just quoted me out of context and is kind of funny.

The problem with Nigeria has to do with the mentality. Are people ready to revolt? Are they ready to fight the government openly at Aso Rock? Of course not.

Could you recall what happened in countries like South Africa, China, Japan and a few others.

The bottow line is Nigerians are not ready yet and are insincere to themselves. Rather, they prefer to praise these corrupt men.

I am sure you cant remember...No one wants to die due to unprofessional act of the military men. You cant be comparing all those countries above to Nigeria. Anywaz don't let us derail this thread.
