Yea but i don't think Abraham Lincoln committed any fraud during his previous failed election triers and was not restricted by USA law from applying again.

No the ECO is not deceiving you because they have told you clearly in that refusal letter that your next application is likely to be refused because of your previous offence.

The decision to keep reapplying after numerous refusals is yours and not the ECO's.

Hello good people,I made a Priority PBS Tier 2 application exactly 20working days ago(28 calendar days).
I got an email from TLS that application was received by UKVI on 22nd November.Interestingly,i got another email from Sheffield that application has been received and will be considered shortly just this morning(after 20 working days).
Is there anyone who has experience with this, its really confusing.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Eastner: 12:11pm On Dec 19, 2016
Hello House, your advice and expert opinion is needed.
I intend traveling to the UK with our child early next year to visit my husband (British citizen). Our child was born in Lagos and we applied for and got his British passport here in Lagos.
I've been working in the same company for 10years now (even before i got married) and the salary was just reviewed in September, to 210k after tax,but i'm currently paying off a loan of 50,000 naira. (brings it to 160k). I receive 5,000 naira monthly as balance from phone credit top-up (so,rather than top up with 15,000.the company tops up my phone with 10,000 and credits my account with the remaining 5,000 balance and it's not included in payslip). Periodically, i also receive bonus and also just received my 13th month salary. My monthly expenses is 50,000 naira except on occasions where i've had to carry out some projects.
My husband sends money via western union monthly too and this varies depending on expenses and what not(could be as low as 51,000 and as high as 300,000 naira , 3 times in a month).
I intend sponsoring the trip and my husband will be providing the accommodation alone.
I intend submitting my salary account for the application. These are the documents I'm thinking of submitting:

1. Employment Letter
2. Letter of Introduction From My boss stating how long I've been working,my role, that my leave has been approved and i'm to resume after.
3. 6months salary account bank statement/Covering letter
4. 6 months pay slip
5. Tax Card
6. Pensions Account Statement/Covering Letter
7. Shares Certificate
8. Land Documents
9. Utility Bill
10. Marriage Certificate/Evidence of Change of Name
11. Evidence of Additional source of Income (Western Union)
12. Wedding & Family Pictures

For Our Child
1. Birth Certificate
2. British Passport Bio-data
3. School 1st Term Results
4. Pictures of Son in School
5. Letter of Acknowledgement/confirmation from School Head.

From My Husband
1. British Passport Bio-data
2. Letter of Invitation and Consent
3. Employment Letter
4. 6 months Salary Account Statement
5. 6 months Pay slip
6. Tenancy Agreement
7. Utility Bill

Now, my questions are:
A) When filling the budget breakdown such as ,'what is the cost of the trip to me personally as well as total cost'.. do i include the cost of flight and feeding for my son? Since he's visiting with me. But he doesn't need a visa.
B) Since i'm including feeding as part of my budget, do i still need to submit my husband's statement of account? (It's not bouyant as he just returned from nigeria)
C) How much do you think is feasibile for feeding for a mom and child for 2weeks. I was budgeting 135 pounds.
D) Do i really need to add shopping?
E) When asked if the purpose of travel is to visit the person i'll be staying with, the answer is YES, right? since the primary purpose isnt sight seeing.
F) What the ties i can use to show that i will definately come back to nigeria since technically,my family members are my husband and son asides parents and inlaws in nigeria.

I'll be having 750,000 in the account i'm presenting and the budget is

Flight - 384,056 (Son and I)
Feeding & Misc - 80,000 (Son and I)

G) Can you please assist with what i've listed so far.
Thank you.

I feel you are good to go except that for your son as a British citizen, with is UK passport, he does not need a visa to travel to the UK even the USA, all you need to do in addition to all document you have stated just include copy of his british passport. Do not waste money on visa fee for him. Make sure you write a detail letter of for your application.

Best of luck

Glad to give back to this house @justwise, thanks for your input, it propelled me into doing a lot of thinking work and lots of brainstorming. I went ahead "stubbornness" against @justwise advice to reapply and today i got my package with my six months visa. Thanks @justwise, You have been a source of wisdom, wish I could meet you and give you a hug. In addition, I think the addition of a personal letter to my application helped a great deal. Though, I had my heart in my mouth all the full one month because it took longer than expected, i think the UK application format too has improved a lot because i was called for some sorts of verification. My timeline :
21-11-2016: Submitted application at VI
21-11-2016: Application transferred to UK Visas & Immigration
22-11-2016: Application received by UK Visas & Immigration
22-11-2016: Visa application received in Sheffield
6-12-2016: A mail came that my application wasn't straight forward and would take longer than expected (na here I die wake up)
13-12-2016: Application assessed by UK Visas & Immigration
14-12-2016: Application ready for collection/courier return
15-12-2016: Application return by courier
19-12-2016: DHL called me to come carry my property and as I open am, I see six-months visa o.
NL is highly recommended for DIY o, no time for agents. STORY OF MY LIFE.

Thank you.

@justwise Hi, I am thinking of applying for a 2-year Uk visa sometime next year. The problem I'm having is that my passport expires in 2018 I.e the validity of my passport will be less than the duration of the visa I want to apply for. Will that be an issue?

What did they call u to verify, I'm in the same situation now, I submit my application on 28/11/16 and go the email saying application not straightforward on 13/12/16 and I'm still waiting for decision made email
Verification of my bank statement (SOA). I guess the bank was called because the bank officer that called, asked me to respond in the affirmative loudly IF I can give my consent for my account to be verified by a third party (in this case, I guess the UK Embassy), sharp sharp, I say YES, PLEASE DO!!!! Meanwhile, in my previous application six months ago, it wasn't so. Don't fret much, you will get it BY GOD'S GRACE.
