I agree ...it boils dow n to d same;when 1 refuses to obey d Spirit promptings,voice then any other thing ,in this case sexual sin is lurking...But the Spirit is able to give power over such in ones soul that such person ain't moved by sinful targets e.g if such person sees a skimpy dressed lady in a public place ,instead of lusting after,such person may begin to harbour a sought of pity or Christ's love 4 such a soul and say a prayer 4 such person or witness Christ....

To be very sincere, I want the Holy Spirit to teach me personally how he thought me other secrets about issues in the past. I've prayed, entered covenant, cried, did all I can about this sex of a thing, no solution to it. in fact I even started loving it cos it helps my body to relax. one of the answers I started getting are as follows:

You don't understand the power the mind holds over everything, the mind is a powerful tool that doesn't gives up easily. Apostles in Jesus times found it hard to even keep their mind in a clean state, apostle Paul lamented that when he wants to do that which is right, he does that which is wrong. He was asking " who will save me".

That shows you the power of the mind, it repels anything as far as it has gotten hold of your thinking pattern. You can say you won't look at a naked woman, you can say "holy Spirit I will listen to you", but it won't work, why? Cos when next you will see the naked woman, your mind has made up a picture to convince your spirit to give in and it won't rest till you do it. Just like when you are hungry and you see a delicious looking food, whether it belongs to you or not, your body craves it.

You have to be completely immerse in God with your heart to escape lustful desires. Holy Spirit is for guidance and support, for forbearance. It is only God that will make it possible for you to tame it.

Dear Youths and all those who are entangled in the evil web of sexual lusts,
please follow up with this thread, we are presenting a series of in-depth biblical and practical teachings on Youthful Sexual lust to help the youths overcome sexual lusts in their preparation for Christ's return. Please, read with open heart and prayerfully.

Working Scripture: Genesis 3:6
Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

INTRODUCTION
One day, I asked the youths if they knew the meaning of ‘lust’. Everybody answered with a ‘yes’. Then I asked whoever that had lusted after anyone to raise up his or her hand. Only a few raised their hands. I, also, raised my hand. The others that did not raise their hands were laughing at us who raised our hands. I asked them why they didn’t raise their hands but they could not answer but kept on laughing. I concluded they either did not know the meaning of lust or were just pretending.

Let’s face it. Almost everyone who is old enough to understand the meaning of ‘lust’ has lusted after one person or the other, at least once. This teaching will help you to understand the meaning of lust both biblical and practically, determine if you are in lust and what to do to overcome it.


WHAT IS LUST?
Lust can simply be defined as desiring, craving, longing to have or doing what is ungodly in preference to that which comes from God. Anybody can lust after anything. There could be lust after food like children of Israel did in the wilderness, lust after music, lust after clothe or lust after anything once it is ungodly. But since we are dealing with youthful sexual lust, I will paraphrase lust to be desiring, craving, longing to have or doing an ungodly sexual act especially by the Youths.


[u[FIVE STAGES OF LUSTS[/u]
I was made to understand that the fall of Adam by Satan through Eve was due to Eve’s undergoing the complete stages of Lust after the forbidden fruit. Let us look at our working scripture.

From the underlined in our working scripture, we can see the processes or stages that Eve went through:

1. She made eye contact with the forbidden fruit and could not take her eyes away from it. {pleasant to the eye).
2. Her heart desired to have a taste of the fruit (a tree to be desired).
3. In between, before she took the fruit, she must have planned how to pluck the fruit.
4. She carried out her heart desire by eating the fruit. She took action (and did eat)
5. Consequently, she became lost to death (God’s judgement).

These five stages that Lot went through led sequentially one to another. Each stage is lust on its own and is sinful. Let us look at these five stages in practical ways at they affect youths.


FIRST STAGE OF LUST (THE CONTACT STAGE)
Lust at this stage is given by the acronym below.
L -LOOKING
U -UNCONTROLABLY at
S -SEXUAL
T -TARGETS

This is the stage where a youth gets in contact with his/her sexual target. The primary agent here is the eyes. The eyes of a youth come in contact with his/her sexual targets and lose control. The target may be a chorister singing worship, the pointed nose of a female/male, the eyelid of a female, the moustache of a male, the uncovered straight legs of a female/male, the muscular frame of a man or any sensuous part of a female/male. Some youths even lusts after unclad mannequins in boutiques. Other lustful sexual targets include pornographic images and videos on magazines, Facebook, Whatzapp, Nairaland, YouTube and so on. Once, I saw a video on the internet of a man that saw a statue of an unclothe female. He was so much lost in lust that he went to hug the statue and began to caress it. Lust can be so burning. Burn it before it burns you.

Once, you are lost in control of looking at any ‘sensuous’ part of an opposite sex, and the image feel pleasant to your sight, then you are engrossed in what the scripture calls ‘the lust of the eyes’.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

The lust of the eyes is a sin and not of God. This was the first thing that happened to Eve in the garden. She started looking uncontrollably at the forbidden fruit and it was pleasant to her eyes. For Eve, Lust at this stage is given by the acronym below.

L -LOOKING
U -UNCONTROLABLY at
S -SINFUL
T -TARGET

In this case, the sinful target that Eve could not take her eyes away from was the forbidden fruit.

The first stage of lust which we refer to as the contact stage if not dealt with quickly will lead a man/woman to the second stage which has to do with the heart. This we shall look at in the second part of this teaching.


PRAYERS
1. Lord, Jesus Christ, set the fire of Holy Ghost in my eyes and burn off all the spirit of lust working inside them.

2. Cast out the lust out of my eyes by the finger of God.

3. Do not allow me to fall to lust like Adam and Eve

4. Destroy every trap of seduction on my way by the fire of God.

5. My eyes will not send me to hell fire in Jesus’ name.

THIS LEVEL OR STATE OF LIFE IS ACHIEVABLE ON THIS EARTH thus "I assure you and most solemnly say to you, the person who hears My word [the one who heeds My message], and believes and trusts in Him who sent Me, has (possesses now) eternal life [that is, eternal life actually begins—the believer is transformed], and does not come into judgment and condemnation, but has passed [over] from death into life" {Jn.5:24}
At this level, you move from biological death into THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN DIRECTLY WITHOUT JUDGMENT.
IF THIS STATE OF LIFE IS NOT ACHIEVABLE ON THIS EARTH; THE DEATH OF JESUS CHRIST ON THIS EARTH FOR THE DELIVERANCE OF MAN FROM SIN AND HELL-FIRE IS INVALID!!!

During the last Full Gospel Business men's fellowship international African conference in Abuja last month VP Osinbanjo made a comment about how movies and media and present society see having sexual interiors as normal and not a big deal, but which is and should not be taken casually or normally. No matter who is engaging in it or under whatever circumstances, we can overcome youthful sexual lust. It leads to unnecessary drama and baggage in future. I once asked a university student how she feels when she sees guys she has had sex with and she said, she feels nothing but normal. Then I asked, what if the guy marries a friend or family member how would they interact? It's such an unnecessary past mistake that can be avoided. Lust goes beyond the act but even the thought. How do people think, sleep, interact and write when their minds and hearts are filled with sexual images and lasciviousness?

I think when it becomes "uncontrollable" is when it may result to sin. Remember, Eve could have snapped out of her lust had it been that she didn't spent much time looking at the "forbidden fruit"! That's how I think we can control lust.
We are humans and we have desires/wants which mostly are material things but any of those things that is ungodly should not be cuddled by spending plenty time desiring it.

Working Scripture: Genesis 3:6

For part 1, we dealt with the first stage of lust by drawing reference from the first action of Eve concerning the forbidden fruit but now we want to go to the second stage by drawing reference to the second action of Eve.


SECOND STAGE OF LUST (THE DESIRE STAGE)
Lust at this stage can be given by the acronym below

L -LONGING for
U -UNGODLY
S -SEXUAL
T -TOUCH/TASTE/TEST/TRIAL

The first stage of lust directly leads to the second stage of lust. In this second stage, your heart plays back whatever images of sexual targets your eyes have captured and desires to see them again or even have a feel or touch of those images.

The major agent at work here is the heart. The heart works like a storage device of a computer which can give you back whatever information you have stored in it. At this stage, the heart plays back for you all the pornographic images and sexual targets your eyes have captured and goes a step further by processing them for you. The heart can make you imagine how it will be if you have a real touch or a real taste or a real test or a feel of those sexual targets your eyes have captured. The desire or passion at this stage can be so intense and disturbing even after the images are out of sight of that youth because of the ability of your heart to act involuntarily on the signal.

Because of this sensitive nature of the heart, the scripture charges us to be cautious our hearts.

Proverb 4: 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Let it be stressed that lustful signals can also be fed into the heart through other agents like the ears and the mouth if you keep hearing sensuous songs and saying sensuous words. Many songs that the youths of today listen to are erotica in content. When you store such into your heart, your heart can play them back for you at will and then fill you with desire to actualize the content. Even many dance steps are erotica and youths expose themselves to such dance steps.

The Lord, Jesus Christ, Himself, calls this stage of the lust, ‘adultery of the heart’ and it is a sin just as the lust of the eyes is a sin.

Mathew 5:28 But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Can we also see in this scripture that lust of eyes leads to lustful sexual desire in the heart because a man that must lust after a woman or a 'sexual target' must haven the woman, first, and be pleasant with that sight before he goes further to desiring a sexual taste of that woman or that target.

Pro 6:25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.

Proverb 6:25 above emphasizes beauty and eyelids as some of the sexual targets a man can lust after in his heart. Man should wonder less why many women today spend so much money on artificial ‘beauty’, eyelashes and attires of harlot– just to seduce or get men to lust after them. You are counseled not to be victims of these.

If you found out that your heart is always desiring to have a touch/taste/test of any sexual object you are exposed to, please, quickly deal with it or seek help. It might be lust of the heart.

They desired to have a sinful touch and sinful taste of the forbidden fruit. Adam and Eve had been warned neither to touch nor eat the forbidden fruit.

Gen 3: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

The instruction not to touch the fruit was perhaps to cast a stumbling block towards the eating of the fruit. After all, they could not eat the fruit if they did not touch. We can see that God did not really want them to eat. But here, we see Eve already desiring to touch and eat what her eyes had seen and was pleasant to them.

PRAYERS

1. Lord, Jesus Christ, heal me of all adultery of heart.

2. Lord, Jesus Christ, stretch out your hand into my heart and delete all lustful images that have been stored there.

3. Lord, help me to always stand by you at every stage of my decision making.

4. Fill my heart with your love.

5. Send the fire of the Holy Ghost into my heart and refine it.

its not a sin to desire material things but doing so deterninely, that is desperately at all cost!!!! That is why the scriptures says the LOVE. Of money is the source of all sorts of injurious things and that determination hav e led so many astray as they have stabbed themselves all over. A typical example is MMM. Those who got in to it simply displayed a determined love for money!!! Some am sure were very okay but because of the love for money they became greedy, some had to b orrow when they didn't have to invest !! Now if it collapses , haven't they stabbed themselves all over as they will go thru the frustration of paying such a debt, even missing out on time for other more profitable things And the scriptures says greedy people will not inherit the kingdom of God!!!!

Back to topic even the fornication and adultery commited these days is also greed, desiring what isn't yours!!! As a single person what God desires from you is chastity, for married people faithfulness!!! Anything outside those is lust!!!
