Judging by Nigerian standard, I will join others to give it to Ambode. However, if it's about the real quality which means what governance should be then all our 36 governors are waste of sperm.

Unfortunately our standard here is just too low when compared to the rest if the world and that is question is asked in the first place.

The question should be: which governor is the most useless?

we can not imagine that rivers state is in peace , we need to see the peace , if I tell you ,imagine if Nigeria is not in recession , those are just wishes we need results , schools , health centers are in a bad shape , even the he said he will no longer sponsor the state university again .. And that cause an increase in school fees , he is trying but NOT THE BEST

One pot hole is enough to make a fine road impassable. U know what Wike is the governor of Rivers State till 2019. And if there is a reason to declare SOE in Rivers State you will be the victim.

I really dont know why people are arguing here. Isn't it rather obvious that Willie Obiano is by far the best performing governor.

Were not just talking of building roads or other construction projects. Were talking of real in depth transformation. He is a governor that has dealt with root issues like industrialization. An road (unmaintained) may go bad in a couple of years but things but what Willie is doing would have a long lasting effect in Anambra.

I believe that while many other governors are painting cracked walls, Willie tears them down and erects new ones from the foundation. That is real development.

90% of the infrastructural development in delta state was carried out by James Ibori, yes, he was not a "saint" but he made sure he delivered the dividends of democracy to the good people of delta state.

James Onanefe Ibori was just unlucky because i know that Tinubu and Lucky Igbenedion were legends in the game of looting.

Nyeso Wike for orchestrating political rascality, supervising electoral violence and killings, staging a coup d'etat against the speaker of Rivers' house, for taking loan worth billions without tangible projects to show for it. I would have stated Amechi's performance in the negative but he is not a serving governor.

so stop sounding like he constructed one magnificent road , if he doesn't want the SOE he should tackle the security challenges ,you can't call him the best because of few road amendments , what about jobs , salaries , major infrastructure , skill acquisition in various LGA's

I ll give it to ambode, but I think he's lucky because Lagos generates a very large revenue compare to other states.while I ll gv worst performing to okowa, but its not also his fault, ibori use delta state as collateral to take loan, and we are still paying the debt till tomorrow.

He is not lucky. It takes a working governor to keep revenues flowing in and the economy thriving. Under ambode, lagos became the 5th largest economy in Africa. Bigger than many countries

I disagree with you on the bolded part of your comment.

The revenue generated doesn't guarantee your performance but it is the will to perform makes you perform well.

You might generate less revenue and still perform better than someone who generated huge revenue. All you need is the will to perform by making do with the little you have and be transparent about it.

Ambode performed well below average. Though media hype has portrayed him as a performing governor. Taking a cursory look at Lagos, one can only link the governor to underperformance. For instance, since Ambode became governor, supply of water has become epileptic. Some areas in Lagos could only boast of 36hour water supply per week. Did you answer the question posted by the OP? Definitely no! And by your post, it is quite easy to discern you are all out to attack Ambode. The question remains who is the best performing governor for 2016, not who you hate amongst the governors in question. I would have taken you more seriously if you had taken your time to compare and contrast the performances of the above listed governor.

Once again, stop the attack on Ambode. And maybe you should talk about the performance of the governor from your own home state, assuming you are not from Lagos. And I quite bet you are not!

Okowa's lack of achievement is not because of Ibori but because of drop in the revenue and allocation from FAAC. When the Niger Delta Avengers were bombing, some of you guys were shouting GOOD! Now this same bombing has come back to bite your ass. The revenue of Delta state has dropped drastically making it difficult to pay salaries talkless of projects. If you bring a infested wood of ants into your house, do not complain when the lizards come.

To how many people , you have no evidence its amaechi , its just like me telling you pdp is sponsoring ipob to make Nigeria ungovernable for buhari , doesn't make sense . he should fix schools , pay salaries , and create jobs. people registered with one micro finance bank and the first set was about 35,000 people. I have friends that benefitted both non Indigenes. why are you seeing only the bad.
