I'm actually paying for 6 months and I've used two foreign credit cards, and two foreign debit cards. It keeps saying unsuccessful. I don't have a domiciliary account.

If you have a access bank card you should use it are you submitting in Lagos ikeja or abuja, when I submitted in abuja I paid 131, In Lagos ikeja I paid 215 or so, it will be limitations causing all these but I still used my gtbank card to buy some things on Mac and it went through

Access bank cards are really cool. Apart from $200 monthly limit, u can use dem in Kmart, Walmart, Burlington.
U can also do cash back.
In fact, u could buy sometin work $190 u don't need. Walk bak to customer service to return it & request cash if d card is VISA. If mastercard, dey will pay back to d card so pls be sure U know everythin before u waste ur monthly limit.
Dis worked for me yday at rate of N325. Kmart, Walmart & Burlington exchange rate is N325.

Which of their cards?

Visa or MasterCard and can one get the 2cards to get a higher limit

I obviously omitted some info in my last post.

Pediatrician after discharge 1st visit was 75 nd subsequent visit 55.

Pls for those asking for my passport agent, i had reasons to be in Atlanta dats why i got naija passport. If nt, visa on arrival was my option since i had my baby in houston. Its nt economical to get naija passport if u re in houston. I still had to use an agent to get d passport out on time in atlanta o, since i had limited time.

For the accomodation contact, i cant put dat info here so as nt to breach d anti-advert rule.
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by TripleKMama: 1:00am On Jan 06, 2017
It's VISA card
No need for 2 cards. Dey amount to d same monthly limit of $200. But u can open 2 different accounts.

I wish to first thank all that keep sharing their experiences and ask questions on this forum.
I had my visa interview yesterday 05.01.17 in Lagos with my DW and LO. Quite simple and straightforward.

Me: hello? (while tossing in our passports through the hole)
VO: is she your daughter?
Me & DW: yes our daughter
VO: why are u going to the US?
Me: to have our baby
VO: have you ever been outside your country?
Me: yes, UK with my wife and Ghana for my professional exam.
VO: what do you do?
Me: I'm bla bla bla with bla bla bla
VO: what do you do?
DW: i'm a home maker
VO: ok
VO: what do you do in your company?
Me: I bla bla
VO: what's your budget for this trip?
Me: a little above $16,000.00
VO: do you have any sort of statement to show?
Me: yeah (passed my statement from my stockbroker, bank statement and pension statement)
She paid more attention on the pension (date of commencement, balance, employer name)
VO: how do you intend to pay for this?
Me: I would be self paying, I've been investing in stocks for this and from other savings (note share value plenty and pension plenty too but 1m in my bank account)
VO: what's your company into?
Me: downstream oil & gas company
VO: your visa would be ready for pickup in 3 business days from now.
Me: thank you

Hello House,

Its been lovely following all the posts on this thread from Part 1 to 5. I especially found posts by @MiddyO and @NikkyK on OB Packages available at JPS Hospital very useful. Infact i have sent emails to them requesting them to contact me so i can ask for further information and clarification, but i am still awaiting feedback from them because the nairaland system requires them to reply me since we were not previously connected. While i wait for their response, i may be able to get some information from the house, hence this general post.

I intend to travel to the US on the 1st of April to have my LO. My sister is a US Citizen who lives in Tarrant County with her family and i will be staying with her for the period i am in the US and she will also assist me with getting the Temporary Tarrant County ID which will qualify me to enjoy the JPS Hospital discounted OB packages. My Parents are also Green Card Holders, so my Mum will be around to help also. I have a few questions however

1. I didn't see any thread on how one can get in touch with doctors affiliated with JPS Hospital, all is saw was Doctor's fee of $1,500. so if any one knows how i can get in touch with a doctor affiliated with the hospital so i can obtain Doctor's correspondence, this will be very useful. PS. my sister already called the hospital on my behalf, but they said they only register in person, which means i cant get registered or assigned a doctor through the Hospital until i am in the US, and i would appreciate doctor's correspondence now for POE purposes.

2. I also want to know if tests done in Nigeria were acceptable for those that have used JPS hospital, and if they are, i need information on the tests i should conduct so i can do them from here. If not, i would like to know how much the prenatal tests cost asides from the Doctor and Hosp fees which i know already.

3. I have a valid B1/B2 US visa which i have renewed once through the dropbox process. The current one was obtained in 2015 and will expire in July 2017. (i intend to be back in Nigeria before it expires). I wasn't married yet when i got the visa and i have traveled to the US twice already on the current visa. This trip to have the baby will be my third trip on the current visa. I want to know if i still need to mail the Consular office to declare a notification/change of intent to go and have a baby since i have been to the US not less than 6 times in total.

4. DH is a green card holder and lives and works in the US while i live and work in Nigeria. We have no intention of relocating me and the baby to the US for a few more years, therefore he hasn't filed for a green card for me and i am not ready to quit my Job also. I want to know if this will be an advantage or a disadvantage at the POE, if i get asked questions about my husband, where he is and what he does? i wouldn't want to be sent back just because my husband lives in the US already.
