I gave birth on the 6th of January. Its just body pain like when you have done too much physical activity. The first 4 days were the worst i spent most of my time resting in bed but as as the 5th day was doing my house chores. Nobody to do omugwo except hubby so i am taking care of the baby and doing stuff and feeling ok.

Congrats on the birth of your baby. I am facing the same issue as you my son is 9 days old and my breasts had wounds by the time he wss 3 days. I massaged the whole breast with hot wster then coconut oil. After breast feeding i put the oil on the tips but overnight i fed him from one breast by morning the other breast was healing and the pain almost completely gone. I alternated the next day and am much better now. Lanisoh didnt work for me

Is it that you have a phobia for hospitals? Is it the same hospital you used for your first? Is it just only when you attend antenatal or all the time? And has it always been so from childhood or only when you are pregnant?

I know hospital smells and the feeling of having dead and sick people around (eg general hospitals) makes a lot of people squirmy.

I can't really say I have phobia for hospital because I use to visit people. I don't feel sick on a normal day, it's only when am pregnant. I am not using same hospital as we've relocated to another state.

I just found this forum today and am glad there is a platform to relate wt people you are in the same shoes wit...please I will like to be enlightened on an issue...when you say you are 12weeks gone in pregnancy I. E 3months,is it counted from the first day of the last period or according to wen d egg got fertilised. ..cos I took a scan and was told am 6weeks and some days gone whereas counting from the the first day of last period ,I was surposed to be 8weeks...thanks

Yes gestational age is counted from the 1st day of the last mentrual period, as no one really knows wen d egg was fertilized. Your scan could not be totally wrong as u may have ovulated later, or the gestational sac could have measured a little smaller. Hence d disparity

Even baby wipes I saw some for sensitive skin and normal which should I go for (the products I can see here are pampers and huggies)

Mamas that gave birth to male children was this how the kicking and movement was very dis comforting at 35week. Went for ANC on Tuesday and baby is doing great and very active. The movement is giving me sleepless nites. CC fedd..y27, zan.myie

Hey dear, I always start off with huggies little snugglers or pampers swaddlers. For wipes, you can get the ones without fragrance. Some store brands are good like Costco, sam's club member's mark wipes are very good too.

Shopping for clothes: check out carters, burlington, children's place, crazy8, jcpenny, sears, Boston stores. I always take advantage of the clearance racks.

you apply the Vaseline/olive oil at night,then u use your hand to peel off the dirt on the nipple.
this also helps to keep the nipple moistured and soft.

That usually happens from mid second trimester upwards, because from about 16weeks the feotus has growth spurts (doubling in weight every week for a few weeks) and no 2 people can have the same growth rate, so some tend to grow bigger and others grow slower. Some people even measure way behind, cos of smaller babies.
But the most accurate scans are those done b4 12 weeks.
Scans are just to give an estimate.

My 2nd scan done even before 12weeks, my los where measuring ahead so is it still d growth sprout tin? me I didnt know wen I ovulated sha.

My network is not so ok over here. About my edd I don't know which to follow again d 1st scan at 11wks shows 28th, d pregnancy app calculated 27wks edd 7th and d latest scan shows 28wks edd 1st, my anc doc sayin 26wk. abt d gender its a princess...

The pain was not too much. Some hospitals do it in naija but i dont know which ones. I only know of abuja clinics in abuja.

my dear, I haven't ooo cos I know baby isnt head down yet so don't want to waste money. Will do d next scan at 36-37wks, even d sex sef am no longer interested in knowing. I want a surprise baby.
