I tell you. He was superb against us in the pre-season match, that was the first time he caught my eye. He was also good in their last match also.

I've been ruminating about him for some time now while I was thinking of how England could utilise Spurs' 352 set up and take the advantage of the fact Spurs team has players who's got great chemistry while playing together (Dier, Alli, Rose, Kane, Walker etc). I was thinking of the midfielders that could replace the likes of Dembele and Wanyama in the midfield and the only one I could come up with was Henderson but afterwards, I started to think of the likes of Ben Pearson and Tom Davies who are both still young players.

A 352 setup:

Jones - Dier - Cahill;

Walker - Davies/Henderson - Ben Pearson - Rose;

Alli - Lallana;

Kane.


I had to choose 1 of Davies/Henderson because both plays a laid back role whereas Ben Person is this energetic no-nonsense pacey defensive midfielder. The only thing is Pearson plays for a championship side but that doesn't stop him from being a good player, Dele Alli was playing for Mkdons not quite long ago. BTW, Pearson is from our academy and was very good for the reserves before his move to Preston. He had a great match and looked dominant against Arsenal last week for example and has been good for Preston since his move.

Personally I think both players are the only talents that are capable of rectifying England's average midfield. The likes of Wilshere and Barkley are just full of shite! Talented but has no brain!

England would need someone better than Cahill in the LCB role and probably a better ball playing player than Dier but I don't know of any. There's no need to even talk about Stones, the useless one! And I don't think Michael Keane (he's also from our academy) is a better ball playing defender than Dier.
