Governor Okorocha made him the commissioner for finance 2011-2015. He is currently a member of the HoR where he serves as the chairman house committee on health. Many see him as the next governor of in Imo State owing to his cordial relationship with the incumbent governor and you call him 'mere' as if you are a march to him.
