From my years of observation at different workplaces, ladies love office romance a lot, dunno y, so for the lady to refuse your marriage offer, I am sure you guys' salary isn't big enough.

To me, it's a bad idea to marry someone working in same office with u, except one of u is happily ready to resign, if not, don't try it!

there is nothing wrong in that it calls for better understanding but the person in question might reluctant to agreed because she knows how much you earn as a salary maybe she has weighed your salary into the family hood and feels reluctant to agree.

OP, the bolded might be the reason she is reluctant.
Aside that, the two of you working in the same office is not ideal. There will be too many complications and also your family's financial capability/source/strength is known. Now a male colleague might innocently be playing with your wife in a way you feel offended, you might even be unnecessary suspicious and same applies to her.

Both of you should should be on the look out for job. Anyone that get first should leave, you can then embark on your marriage journey. You might also need to compare your salary, the allowances, benefits due to each at what period e.t.c. to determine who should leave for the other to stay. My own pence! Good luck!!!

It might not be stated in your companies rules n regulations but in most coys when it happens they'll ask one of the staff to resign.

Personally, I can't date a co-worker. To me, that's too close for comfort and it always leads to trouble....especially here in the US. However, I don't have any problem marrying someone I work with provided that I am not her supervisor vice versa.

Apart from work ethics, such a marriage is bound to crash sooner than later unless either of you own the company. I am telling you from a 'know' angle. If either of you cannot get another work outside that very place, forget it. And if you two are 'lovebirds, the both of you will most likely be sent packing. You, being the man, will suffer more because she will be used against you big time. And, in most cases, she cannot say no.
