Mourinho got his tactics wrong. You don't play long and up balls with stock. Even Ibrahimovic and Fellaini were subdued, and to think we had Blind, Herrera, Mata and Mkhitaryan whike playing up balls.

SAF used Carrick, Scholes, Rooney (and even Kagawa) to force Stoke to play on the ground.

It looks like the substitutions were made when the starting attacking players were beginning to find a way to break down the defence.

Fellaini should not be a starter. Our best front remains Martial - Mkhitaryan - Ibrahimovic and one of Rashford, Rooney and Mata. Why don't we play the best players and the system that works. The rotation and the quest to satisfy every player in the squad is distorting the system.

Sir Alex Ferguson has congratulated Wayne Rooney after he broke Sir Bobby Charlton’s all-time club goalscoring record during Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Stoke.

Sir Alex, in what was a rare public statement, heaped praise on Rooney for reaching the historic milestone.

“I would like to say huge congratulations to Wayne on reaching this milestone.

“It is no mean feat to score so many goals and he breaks a record that has stood for over 40 years.

Pogba was one of our better players but I am suspecting he is blind in the left eye judging by the number of times he refused to pass the ball to a free Rashford preferring to force the ball through the middle.
As difficult as the day was for Mikki he still had a better performance than zlatan,mata, fellaini.
Zlatan is not playing very well and his solitary goals have been shielding him from criticism. We need to try Martial, Miki wide with Rashford as CF and we need at least 2 of those guys to start matches at all times. Without them we lack pace and movement up front.

it was a negative selection but it's hard to hold him responsible for the draw. Those men need a stern lesson on shooting practice. The number of chances spurned so far is impossible.

For the next players bought, agility and speed should be a must. I am yet to see a goal from a counter attacking move. The slowness and lethargy when they get in promising positions doesn't portray them as pro footballers.

Please strike out thoughts of Marcus Rashford leading the attack, except Zlatan Ibrahomovic will be beside or behind him. He's not yet mature, Anthony Martial's absence though remains baffling.
