Bp and fetal heartbeat are very ok and lo kicks very well. Docs and nurses are standby in case of emergency. All in all we give God the glory.

U asked about an affordable formula. I've only used NAN and last I checked it was cheaper than many other formulas. (That was almost 11 yrs ago though). But breastfeeding is still d cheapest. IMO, the money u'll use to buy formula can be used to beef up ur feeding.

Goodday mothers. Still took my DD to the hospital. Ran a full blood count, she had malaria 2+. Was so shocked, cos she always sleeps inside her net. They gave some I.V injections, was just crying when the doc was piercing the cannula in her vein, she was just crying. Spent 10k for treatment, they said I should bring her for the next 3days to complete the treatment. Well, I thank God for everything, but I'm just so down right now, I've been crying, I'm even crying as I'm typing, the money that was used for this treatment was the money we were supposed to use to buy foodstuff at home. My husband has still not been paid his salary by the govt, infact I'm just overwhelmed with all this situation, to say that this pregnancy wasn't planned for and people keep telling me that the baby will bring open doors. I still believe that this baby is a blessing, I'm optmistic and have faith that all things will work for my good, I have faith that things will change soon, but I can't just help crying sometimes, I'm human and have feelings too. I know God will provide, he has given me HIS promise in romans 8:28 and jeremiah 29:11. I thank God for the gift of these children, I know he'll provide for me to be able to take care of them. I thought babies that are exclusively breastfed hardly fall ill? Pls what is the cheapest baby food in the market now?. I'm breastfeeding and yet most days I eat only twice a day. Sometimes I jsut need somebody to just cry to, somebody I can tell all my worries not becos I need the persons sympathy. I'm tired of bottling up my feeling everyday, I wish I can shout and tell pple what I am going through. Hubby doesn't like to see me cry or worry over our situation, whenever he sees me cry he'll say I'm reminding him of his incapabilities. I just need a shoulder to lean on.

Sorry about your son's crankiness . I don't understand the bandage part. Bandage wasn't used for my son's circumcision. It's the ring/ plastibell method which usually falls off on its own between 8-10 days like we were told at the hospital. Today makes it the 6th day he was circumcised and a part of the plastic ring has worn off already. Baby oil or penicillin ointment was advised to apply and babies are usually fine after the first day of circumcision except the area is touched. Be careful when wearing him his diapers.
Pls check with his doctor concerning the bandage part. He will sure be fine. Other sabi mamas will throw more light on this.

Thanks for d roll call dear. To turn for bed these days is not a small something. Every time I read baby center update n they tell me baby will spend the next few weeks adding weight/fat, my mind wee just fly. With all this heaviness I'm feeling, so bobo is just warming up with his weight gain. Na only God go help person

are you bleeding or spotting(this is wen u see small blood like a discharge) not a cus for alarm if it's spotting all u need is a lot of rest and avoid climbing bridges if ure working explain to them at work that Doc asked u not to stress so that they won't overwork u at work.. and also restrain from home shores like sweeping, cleaning even cooking sef and take a lot of fluid..

My DS was circumcised on Friday and it was the ring method that was done. Doctor said we shouldn't him normal and we should not apply anything on the site. He said to give pcm if he is running temperature. My Ds was only in pain for an hour or so. After that he barely cried except you touch the area. It's been 3days and it's healing fine

Just give ur ds breast to soothe him when he cries. There's really not much you can do for him as regards to pain

Was so scared that how can a baby this small have malaria, infact I think it was even in the hospital she contacted the malaria, cos the room we stayed mosquito almost finished me before we were discharged, and I saw one mosquito bite on her the day we left the hospital. The doctor was saying if people should hear that a small baby like her have malaria that they'll blame me the mother. I told him she sleeps inside a net and we don't go outside. I still don't know if I'll be able to EBF becos I'll be resuming work when she's 2months old, though they have a creche in the school, but the periods I teach are kind of much. Don't want a situation where I'll be in class and they'll come and call me that baby is crying, and I knw formula is expensive now. I have one fake breastpump but dunno why I can't express with it, I bought it then when I had my first baby, I couldn't pump with it. But a frnd that had the same brand said her's worked fine. Was even worried that maybe my baby wasn't getting enough milk, cos I don't get more than 80ml if I express, that 80ml will even take hours before I get. But today she weigh 4kg and the doctor said it's ok been that her birth weight was 2.5kg, so I was relieved that she is sucking well.

Yes it will. Your body will go back to It's normal state after delivery kpele. @realdentist, that's how it is in the last stage of pregnancy. Infact when I was almost due, I dread getting up from the bed at night to go and wee.

Good morning everyone...I wss developed pre eclampsia during the pregnancy of my first child at 8months and I hadthad to undergo a ceasarian section due to high bp and +++protein... after child birth the bp refused to go down and I started managing it with drugs.. 4 yrs later (this moment) im pregnant againand I feel very afraid. Although the bp has actually dropped to normal (after resting)since I got pregnant but my fear is tht will this bp thing raise its ugly head again...my doctor said I shld be taking aldomet every morning and night to prevent d bp from comming back anytime soon...plz experienced mamas and doctors in the house say something to reremove this fear from me...

It's called abdominal colic by some paed.

Make sure you burp him well after every meal.

Gently massage his tummy in a circular motion, including the navel after his bath with towel dipped in hot water to help your LO release more seed-like poo. It'll give him some relief

You can massage his tummy with oil also when the pain is severe and your LO will sleep off like a baby

Place him on his tummy and tap his back gently. Don't do this unsupervised.

Lay him on his back and move his legs in bicycle motion.

If you are bottlefeeding, make sure he doesn't suck in air as it makes the colic worse.

Some mamas swear by drugs like infacol but i don't advise it.

With time, your LO will outgrow it. It's just a phase.

are u sure the nipple shield is your size? Cos that could also affect effectiveness of d pump. My dear, that malaria matter still surprises me till today o

worrying about having high bp is only an application inviting it to come. Focus on the positives ahead of u, eg the fact that u have a precious child growing inside u. At least ur doc has given u a plan on how to manage the bp. Pls stick with it and u'll be fine
