Our run of form that suffered from defensive instability was due to Daley blinds pathetic form in central defence (since your bros Jones was in the sickbay as usual) as well as on the left flank added to smallings poor outings after he also got back from injury......or have you forgotten that city game that blind single handedly ended us?


If not for baillys injury and the african cup of nations you think anyone could have displaced him? Was it not even the injury that helped Phil Jones get spot in the team? Jose rushed Bailly because he needed to allow the others to rest ahead of when Bailly will be away for the Nations Cup. But he didn't really go into the team straight. He started from the bench, then played right back. The pairing of Jones and Rojo that time was rock solid, but if they kept playing Europa, League, FA cup and Capital 1 matches, they would have faged out.

Bailly's performance is good but his style of play sometimes exaggerate his quality. A tackle another defender would win quietly, Bailly would muscle out the opposition and appeared to hold the ball with confidence. However, he has been exposed in some occasions, and he also struggles when big forwards play over his shoulders.
