I opened it during my university days. They call it "Solo Savings Account". It's just like Your normal savings account, but its free & doesn't come with any interest rate.

I think the person on night duty last night smoked something. Same time and date you were charged,I got debited too. Three times #200 #150 #150. Marching to their twitter page now. I went to read about the stamp duty, it should be #50 and its the receiving party that gets debited. I cant believe they still debited me #150 for transferring again

Diamond bank is the most useless bank ATM....Op is right ...1000 was deducted from my account on Monday for stamp duty fee also ..I think its time I just abandon the bank I swear ...the extortion is much ...last month ,I was also debited 1,000 fro this stampty duty poo..

One useless bank I know is diamond...I remember requesting for ATM, didn't collect it on time due to their wrong direction, was later told it was destroyed and I should request for another one and make another payment.... Mteeewwww

N50 stamp duty for every deposit into your account. It means you had a total of 16 deposits into your account. The Stamp duty collection is compulsory from CBN/FG. They have insisted that it includes savings accounts as well as current accounts so banks are now complying.

Stamp duty is not per account but per transaction. It is govt that is eating that money o.

Operate a Diamond Bank account at your own risk.With the current economic recession;the Bank's balance sheet is lean.They deduct customers' monies to stay afloat.
Kindly go to Access Bank and open a savings account.
I dumped Diamond Bank more than a year ago.

NB:You can call their customer care;but I dont think they are going to do anything about it.

Your stamp duty is 800 naira that means you received more cash lodgement in your account... check it and divide 50 Nairaland per a thousand. 800/50=16 your cash third party lodgement is about 160k. you are not been cheated.
