LONG POST ALERT!!
I decided to share this whole story and testimony to encourage you out there waiting and looking forward to a positive outcome on your study permit application.

I applied for my study permit (paper/master) on sept 6th 2016 with upfront medical for winter 2017 start. After about 11weeks and few days, i was contacted by CIC and was asked why i hadn't respond to their request for additional document sent 1 week prior(very unusual), i responded that i didn't see such request, screen grabbed myCIC account(i linked my paper app),my email inbox and sent to them.
Apparently, they felt they did as i only had 10 days to respond or have my app refused.
I couldn't even think what additional document it could be as i felt i submitted all documents necessary.
Sent another response to them, for wia! them no send me!
5 days to deadline, i was sent the request and lo and behold the additional doc request was a proof of course registration and school fees payment! I was anxious considering the time left and the whole forex palava.Meanwhile,i already initiated form A process before then, had to cancel it, get the cash and started sourcing for means to pay through black market.

Fast forward to D day, i had not even seen forex to buy let alone initiate a transaction. I just missed the deadline i told myself! Just as i took a deep breathe, i heard in my spirit 'be stil, everything will work in your favour and for your good'
I still tried to make payment days after D day, sent both the telex and school reciept through their email, yet no response. I also had fully registered for my courses as the deadline for this was also fast approaching, had a friend book a cheaper rebookable travel date with the airline he worked for, during all this period, no reply from CIC!
In all these, i noticed i had unusual peace within myself after i missed the deadline, i worried less about my application, i was still reading and helping here as much as i could.
Then boom! God started showing himself! Firstly, i got promoted at work exactly one week after i missed the deadline, also after i didn't hear from CIC, i decided to cancel my reservation since it was rebookable,told the airline why i cancelled it but to my surprise, the responded that after i get my visa and ready to leave, i will be upgraded to business class, their manager was told my predicament and personally did dat(see grooving!) as though that was not enough and when i didn't bother about CIC again, i decided to play small to myCIC akant, brethren! The something had been approved few days ago! I couldn't hold back the smile! It was really soothing to see and know!
I already deferred my start to fall 2017(make i enjoy the new salary o jare!)
The reward of the long wait has been overwhelming.
God has truly showed me his favour and grace throughout those period of waiting! It wasn't funny but we really never know what is waiting for us!
To everyone at different stages of the process, keep pushing and holding on, Things will always work in our favour! You will also share your goodnews!

N/b..got to know CIC contacted the body dat gave me a permit for indefinite stay in the european union to carry out further development on a project we developed few years ago.The fees payment was to show tie to Canada so i won't consider that option.

*Letter from my Supervisor in Uni of Manitoba pledging a Stipend of $20,000 CAD/Annum for my programme ( In my interview with the supervisor i insisted i'm going to need cash. I wanted a supervisor that was going to pay me.)
*Letter of Support from my Father (1 page)
I ticked Father as sponsor on my CIC form
* 1 year SOA from him with just N2.5M although there had been an inflow of N20M for the year
* Letter of Support from a Family friend (Canadian Citizen) pledging 'moral & financial support' (1 page).

Travel History
* International Passport : US & Canada (Visitor) travel stamps.

NB.

* No Police clearance
*No Birth Certificate
* No NYSC or Undergrad Certificates
* I submitted 1 year SOA, someone who had done this before advised me to do that as this would show more inflow of Cash especially if more money entered your account earlier in the year as opposed to just 4 or 6months.

* I chose not to self sponsor because i had just started a new job & my account wasn't really smiling.

* As soon as my application passed the processing time & no word from them i wrote a polite mail to them in Ghana and sent a CSE aswell on 6/02/17 to remind them about my application..

Like its said every case in different.

* A word of encouragement especially to those trying to get a supervisor, i sent about 20 emails to different supervisors for months & only 1 responded and he agreed to my terms.
Do not give up!.

I was to resume in January but i have deferred to summer (May or July whichever i choose).

I intend travelling early to hustle a bit before Sch resumes, a girl has got to eat right? Lol #winks#..

laboratory test?.. I think its medicals u wanted saying. Most times it takes like a month or u can even be called next week. It depends on how you package your application.

Just jejely look for a closely related program to your UG or employment... If it is not panadol it can never be panadol!... Nothing like kind of related in cic dictionary oooo!!!
Meanwhile, you may want to take chances but personally i do not think it's worth the gamble!
If and when you secure a study permit and you MUST study HRM... we'll advise you further then.

though I have seen massive rejection for people going for HRM, I will like to remind you that these guys are mostly pgd(c) and not Masters. I believe a Master student of HRM stands a better chance if s/he puts in a good application.

by de way.. it isn't VFS that will send you medical updates, CIC will do dat.. u will only wait & do ur biometrics there at VFS b4 leaving..

But I need help I want to fill representative for but must I use GVC or i get someone to stand in for me because looking at how everything is going we are more than 20 people that were affected

Well I think u should know d documents that were submitted by your agents first, before u can defend yourself. And if a fraudulent document was submitted by them without your knowledge, I think u should involve a lawyer. I stand to be corrected

Are you a Polytechnic graduate? If yes, I will advise you go get both transcripts.

Include your certificate of result (photocopy).
