The last sentence of your story shows your current relationship is a re bounce in order for you not to be lonely and also you said you don't love the white guy as he clearly states that he is not ready for marriage. He has clearly stated what he wants and it will be better if you terminate the relationship since there is no bearing in it.

On the other hand, your ex broke up with you due to your character that displeased him and by virtue of that when the challenges of marriage come which may spoon out hidden derogatory habits from you, can he withstand such attitudes? Between, I don't believe this simple reason holds much ground for him to break up with you. There is something you are not telling us.
