IMO, there's no need for all this.

I'm sure I've read a number of posts from @nkechima asking for help on this forum, with even @mamajaz pleading on her behalf. All to no avail.
If someone agreed to help and gave a rate, she has the right to bargain or refuse. And from what I could see, she was already considering it and happy with the rate until she got a better rate. @cuteannie and many others have gone through similar difficulties to source AUD.

I think the main concern was the authenticity as raised by @Bellong. Beside that, I don't see how the rate should be an issue.
My reason for commenting is so that we don't be too critical and abusive that people won't be willing to help in the future.
I recall Bellong made a decision to stop helping out with FX due to being abused by someone he helped.

No need for the maths or definitions. In this case I think to only help will be getting the AUD.
You should be aware that there are many people on this thread who are currently in AUstralia, but none offered to help.
I'm not even familiar with the moniker that replied to help; i doubt he's active here, maybe a passerby. Thus, the need to take extreme caution. Most people here are thinking "relocation, resettlement or migration". So, they may hardly need Naira, which is even risky to have due to its volatility. And I guess one of the motivations for those willing to help might be the high rate, beside having something to do back home.

Actually, people don't really use worldremit anymore as there are other platforms that offer better rate at no transfer charges.

Although the 390/$A is ridiculous but two transfer platforms as at yesterday offered 337/$A

Yes boss, I know about Cash remit and other remit; and most Nigerians tend to use that to trade their dollar. But this dude is using "His remit" and "his exchange rate" and calling it help.

Offering to offer someone 18.181% increase and tagging it "help" is pure evil. And I will not sit down and read it and you expect me to swallow it hook, line and sinker.
This right here is the problem we have in Nigeria. While others are trading their dollar at a not so reasonable (but manageable) rate of 330/335, someone from somewhere just comes and increase it to 390 and you said we should see it as "help". My brother "Fear God."
Yes I am a student here in Australia, but I don't have dollar to sell and even if I do, I won't sell it at that rate.
It is better if I don't have the dollar to sell, than for me to have it and put a tag of 390/AUD and still make you see it as help.
Bro, there is nothing like help in that. Let's stop painting evil as good just because we're in a time of trouble.
The will of God will never take you,
Where the grace of God cannot keep you.
Where the arms of God cannot support you,
Where the riches of God cannot supply your needs,
Where the power of God cannot endow you.
Thank you!

Hello All.
Please, how do i get my documents certified? The assessing body of my occupation requested i send a certified copy of my documents to them. They explained further that applicants outside Australia should contact their nearest mission. Please anyone who had done this before should give hints on how best to approach this.
A sum of AUD1050 is also requested. With the current FX policy as we see it, that would be challenging. Please, how did you scale this hurdle?

Also, I am presently An Associate Member of the Nigeria Institute of Architect hoping to write my final exams next month that would confer on me full membership of the Institute. Does my membership status affects my outcome?
Does a degree obtained from Nigerian Institution affect the outcome of my assessment?

Then there comes the request for Academic syllabus!!!..... Even if that exist in FUT Minna, retrieving it might be tedious. Is there an alternative to this?

Thank you all....

Thou shalt visit the nearest Notary public

Thou shalt either open a domiciliary account and fund it with aboki money, or get someone overseas to pay for you while you pay the naira equivalent into their account

Being a member HELPS your outcome while not being a member does not matter at all...

Does a degree obtained from Nigerian Institution affect the outcome of my assessment?
Certainly not.. most of us studied in Naija.

Of course it exists.. its a fancy way of requesting for your Academic TRANSCRIPT

Thank you all....

My people my people I greet you all..I'm Still on the pursuit for 189.

However, I don use 476 hold body first pending when these people(IELTS & PTE) agree that i have superior English...them still dey carry person play...every other thing is ready(EA, Medicals, PCC, etc..). My story and timeline go sweet wella when everything set.

I want to ask if there is any hope of getting a ticket from IOM with 476(i have contacted them and i'm still awaiting feedback)...i will also appreciate any pointers on where to get a fair deal on ticket prices...preferably to pay in naira, otherwise i can still make international payments. Thank you.

In class captain's style:
thou art lucky for thou art entitled to applying for any of the three visas type (189, 190& 489), but 189 is the best& most coveted.

If your occupation is in the CSOL list, with high demand and low applicants, you have good chances of getting an NSW state(5points) nomination with 55 points, totalling 60.
You dont see your official points, you know your "official" points once you ve met the stipulated requirement. You clam them in your EOI application.

I have a B.Eng - Mechatronics.
Initially assessed through the Washington accord pathway and got a Professional Engineer NEC (which is useless). I begged the EA guy who contacted me before the outcome to change it to technologist, he declined and advised me to write the CDR...with the promise of a refund for original application.

Wrote CDR for mechanical but they gave Technologist... I had to settle for that.
