17,000 islands make up Indonesia.. this is a really brilliant idea, If it eventually becomes a thing I say they scale it down and make it amphibious but retain the whole "tank boat" idea

The truth is if we want huge advantage in aircrafts production, NAF has to employ Aerospace engineers ( I'm not talking about those sent on course to the UK).
Those from AFIT are doing well too but we currently need people with vast knowledge in different areas.

Aircraft manufacturing is something tough and the best is for NAF is to employ foreign guys first. I have seen some Nigerians with Aerospace engineering degrees from top universities like MIT and others
The NAF is actually doing that about a Month ago they entered into a MOU agreement with an American company .
The plans calls for the development of a utility aircraft with Multi Purpose duties.
Nigeria will buy more Tuscanoes from Brazil and for the fact that Trump spoke to PMB and also the Democratic party opposed it , look for the US to sell some Tuscanoes to Nigeria, however don't hold your breath on the delivery date.

Odunayaw. You can see the ground clearance of our ATV and that of the Polaris used by US Special forces are the same. In terms of Armarment, ours is even better armed.

We also have more room to keep more stuff, Ammo and the likes.

The Mwari to me is more suited to interdiction than to CAS(Close Air Support). It looks like it won't be able to handled the torque required for sharp turns if faced by AAA'also the engine power difference is great.1600hp tucano to 950Mwari. I know the one I want to be in when engaging AAA.
However I would get it definitely for patrol and standoff interdiction. In contrast the supertucano is pre-eminently set up for CAS,it most definitely looks like a WW2 aircraft and can enter a medium intensity AAA battle space. If CAS tucano,if Interdiction both tactical and strategic you can get MWARI.

No it won't. That's what test and field tests are for and designed to evaluate. Gradient has been checked.

Ah thanks i didn't know. I wonder why products still fail when all are tested. Unless Nigeria has invented some form of anti gravity, that thing will go for a nice roll up a steep incline. All the weight is at the back, that roof mounted piece seals the deal. But ignore me...wait for the pics.

Now that you mention it... The back looks rather very protruding, I doubt it would climb a suddenly sharp incline.. Too much butt on it.

Nothing stops it from climbing if it's a back wheel drive(BWD) or even All wheel drive (AWD). You don't have to conclude since you don't have details of the vehicle.

Patented:
By all Means lets be a test bed, we were for the CH3. We could order a couple of units and still buy the Tucano. the benefit of the Mwari is greater in the sense that we get to learn a whole lot about air -craft design and production. The knowledge gained will be invaluable in future.
But what you failed to take into consideration is the fact that CH3 is UNMANNED while the Mwari is MANNED. You don't want to start losing your pilots both on training and on mission.

Before the Israelis put any weapon for sale, they would have tested and used that weapon for close to a decade. Then, they will say... "You see this Tarvor, we've used this in combat for over 9years now. It is suitable for 'this and that' but not 'those', so we are offering you something we can assure you of its effectiveness and efficiency".
We shouldn't be a test bed for something that's unproven and untested in real combat situation.
If they want us to be the 'test-bed', it's better the Mwari's were "gifted" than buying something that hasn't seen contested battleground.

When will we on this forum outgrow these childish rants!!!!!! For goodness sake we are supposed to have one single enemy...the Islamic Jihadist.....and not one another. IMO Kenya needs Nigeria as much as Nigeria needs Kenya!! We can learn from each other...compare notes and become better for it. Lets stop bashing ourselves here....That goes for everyone including the South Africans!!! When i read about men like Eeben my hearts leaps with joy...cos it shows we have what it takes to solve all our security challenges...but this would only become possible if we learn to work together

Oga, chillax. There's nothing childish about what happened. Seems you are new, you should know it's "That week" again, grin it will soon pass. It's Africaken254 turn this time around grin .

Come to think of it, where is Dakingsman, he used to post regularly here. Dakingsman, I command thee, show thy self here! gringrin

Where is that helicopter from, is it from the 6 x units ordered? I really want to know. Only Airborne360 might be able to answer, however, he is not talking. Even the MI-35m request, hasn't yet been fulfilled.

Hopefully, we would know soon enough.
its ours but don't know where it was sourced from, the. As for Gunships I havent had time to yet

ok. look like somebody in the US congress is interested in saving the lives of Kenyan pilots. the AT-802 is not designed to perform the role that the kenyans and the guys at L3 Technologies want to force it into.

http://allafrica.com/stories/201702220077.html

paragraph 4&5

hanging weapons on the AT-802 is an old farm pilots idea of a joke for African Militaries.

I don't want to start anything but the engine is virtually behind the rear axle!! It's definitely not going to climb an incline of more than 35
degrees and if it's rear wheel drive.....it will be even less!!

Also approach, departure and ramp break over angle is more important than ground clearance when it comes to off roading....and judging by the pic i can already tell you the departure angle is piss poor due to the rear overhang, however approach and break over angle look to be on par with the Poleris!

Where were you? Do you know which test were carried out?? Im sure it's adequate for the purpose its going to be used for, but just looking at the photo i can tell you it won't come close to the poleris in terms of raw off road ability.
