coolshegs10:I would suspect that if a student joined the army with a student visa, their status would change, meaning they would have a different kind of visa, maybe even becoming a permanent resident during their tour. |

No way..You will renounce your Nigerian Citizenship once you enlisted in US military. They will do a thorough background check. You must not have ties or interests in any foreign countries. coolshegs10: |

KELVIN086:Kelvin, do you think US Government is dumb. Paying you huge amount for doing nothing. Just drilling for one weekend a month. To earn $800/month as a reservist, you must have reached a high rank as officer or enlisted. Their pay chart is online. http://www.goarmy.com/benefits/money/drill-pay-army-reserve-soldiers.html |

coolshegs10:Students (F-1) cannot join US army except through a special language program called MAVNI. If you can speak Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo, you can enlist through MAVNI as a foreign student in America.Unfortunately, the program was stopped in 2016 for some security reasons. They promised to bring it back this year but I doubt it cos of this new US president. |

saajus:But they could still train others when they resign. Some NAVY SEALS resign after few years of combat, then take up jobs relating to their fields such as a security agent, computer specialists, etc. I'm I right sir? |
