Well as for me, I will rather be acting Porn than to join any Army other than that of my dear Fatherland Nigeria. The fact that the present Nigeria is not worth living for does not mean the future of Nigeria is not worth dying for. 1 Like |

coolshegs10: There are a number of ways she could have done it. First, she could have moved to United States, gotten her green card, become a citizen, and then joined the army. She could have been a U.S. citizen already and just moved back to America. Third, I've heard the U.S. will make you a citizen if you join their military. A number of my sibling's friends have done this. If you complete one tour, usually four to six years, you can become a citizen. |

saajus: That's the surest way out then. We can even use this method to train our soldiers, if only the government can think deep and that's if those who've gone would be willing to come back, lol. |

Even if it's for citizenship, I do not see a reason why any sane person will sign up to join the army of a foreign country so that you can protect people that you have no cultural or family ties with. For one's safety, it would be better if it were some country that hardly ever goes to war. Not the US army that's always at war. I pity her. 1 Like |

coolshegs10:1)Yes u can cross over after you have served some years, I'm very sure. Both have stipulated times which you have to serve , I'm not sure about the years but I think after 4 to 6 years you can back out , or continue full-time. 2)yes Na , that's why they are the reserve , when the army needs manpower especially during war and conflict , sharp sharp you will be deployed to battle. But don't fear ,us soldiers don't die like chickens. I can ask more questions on your behalf , their office is across the street I live. I spoke with them in a career fair I attended, they said at the moment they are not recruiting foreigners , just people with green card/citizenship/pr. |

Resees:I never said anything is automatic , you have to pass the course/program like the normal naija army entry programme ,where you do physical tests , endurance training e.t.c . But if you train and prepare for it , you can easily make it in . As for absconding after getting citizenship , you can never cheat the USA. When you join you sign a contract. If you leave the army after getting citizenship , your citizenship can be terminated, or nobody might be able to employ you since it shows in your record that you think your smart.Mhen the consequences are grave. 1 Like |
