Thanks for your prompt response.I earn about 1500pounds monthly and the trip is estimated to be 750 pounds. i am single tho. But since my mums business is not registered in Nigeria, what can be used as ties to indicate that she will return as well?
justwise:

That will depend on your budget for the trip and your monthly income

The budget is reasonable.

Does she have business papers apart registration paper?

Things like payment receipts, order bills etc

Does this actually mean that a low income earner can't go to UK?
I have plans to visit the UK ending of this year for a period of 3wks, I have a small salary account of 60k per month but I've a farm(not registered) and also have investment in wood export which some funds are been remitted to me on a monthly bases by my uncle as a proceed of my investment but low salary......I've an aunt I can stay with throughout my stay, my budget for all expenses both visa reg, flight...... Is abt 800k, but I'm confused about how to go abt it with such a low salary...... + I've never applied for visa to any country before.....thanks in anticipation of a favourable response.

He needs to send you proof of accommodation then you give it a try but your salary could be an issue because that is your ties to Nigeria

Thank you sir for the info. I will get my friend to send it. Please can utility bills be use as a proof of accommodation or is it a kind of a form? Again, I hope the amount in my account will not be a problem? in case I say my salary is more than what it is? Will it matter?

@Justwise and others, please help me with UKVI mail for lodging complaints on visa application.

I already mailed to complaints @ homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk but was replied it's not the appropriate mail for such.

I was refused on some assumed fact and wish to mail them for clarification:
Seems the account statement they considered wasn't what I submitted as the balance contradict what I submitted...

Thanks.

He needs to send you tenancy agreement paper or mortgage documents as proof of accommodation.

If you say that your salary is more than what it's then you are likely to be refused and banned because your payslips and entry in your salary account will expose that.

It's difficult to defend source of income without any paper evidence so the focus will be on your salary which you can defend.

To spend 800k on a salary of 60K is like spending your whole year salary in 3wks.

Thanks for the insight, what advice do you have for me as I do not want to be refused......though I've someone who can invite me, and I think the area that will be looked into is my ties to my country. .

@worry357 thanks.

@justwise, l have been travelling to schengen like 5 times, but since my UK denial, I have not applied to UK.

Thanks.

Most likely
It doesn't matter, just ensure that you didn't stay more that 30days per entry, unless they specify on your visa the maximum days you can stay.

Your job and your salary level are your tie to Nigeria but low salary makes that tie weak

Please help.

My sister wants to come to the UK with her 3 young children. I am trying to help with the online application.

I am completing the standard visitor application form on https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/product/uk-visit-visa

However, there is no link to set the mother as main applicant and then link the children application.

Do I have to fill a Seperare form for each child ?
If yes, how will they be linked since they are travelling together.
Also on the form it asks a lot questions that is irrelevant if the person is a child. E.g., how much do you spend monthly. It doesn't accept 0?

Also if I am completing separate forms, the questions that asks the cost of travel, should I just enter the total cost for all of them, rather than trying to split it. Same also applies to the amount of money the sponsor is contributing towards the travel.

Many thanks for your help

For the sake of people who would require this information in future, the UK six months visa fee is $113. UK two years visa fee is $429. I have confirmed it from the internet.

Can I pay the $113 with my Payoneer Mastercard?

Dear Justwise and other wonderful people,

Please I need your kind advise.

I have been to the Uk on tier 4 visa and left immediately I finished my masters. I didn't overstay or have any criminal record! Lol...(I'm not sure you will still remember me but you helped me with process for tier 4)

Now I want to return to the Uk to visit my friends and do a bit of sightseeing on what have missed. I currently work and my salary is about £1300 monthly. It is a contract job finishing 2022.

I would also be staying with my friend who is British-Nigerian during my 14days holiday.

Justwise could you please kindly advise on what I should include in application. I know a list should be somewhere in the thread but with my tiny little phone going through the thread is no easy task.

please I await your kind suggestion.

@Justwise Pls the visit visa for 6 months was submitted 2 weeks ago and next tuesday will make it the 3rd week meanwhile the propose departure day is just 6 days away can this result in visa denial? even though it's a visit visa in which the visit can be reschedule as soon as possible.

Hello Just Wise,

So here is our scenario. I am British/Nigeria married to my Nigerian Husband for the last 12 years, years we have 4 British children together, we live in Nigeria at the moment.
We are planing to travel as a family for a 2 week visit to the UK in a couple of weeks and and I have worries about my hubby being denied entry at border contol.
We applied for his Visa last year (1st time application), it was immediately granted, my brother who lives in in the UK is our sponsor and host.
Can anyone who has gone to the UK on a family visit visa tell me what questions to anticipate at POE and how best to prepare for it. We are genuine couple with obvious and extensive documentation to prove so. I am also worried about the Immigration officer wondering why I haven't file for the Spouse Visa for him. Just to answer that question, we just really were never interested in living and raising our kids in the UK. We are happy here in Nigeria. So your help, remarks, suggestions are needed. Or should I just bloody stop worrying about nothing?

Your previous immigration record will play a positive role in this. When are you planning to take the trip?

I don't see your husband having any problem at the Poe and not applying for spouse visa will not pose any problem infact it should be an advantage because you are not desperate to run to the UK through marriage. It gives you a stronger tie to Nigeria

Hello everyone. I am trying to book an appointment for my 6 months UK visa application in Ikeja. I want a standard appointment. Is there any extra charge for submission in Ikeja compared to submitting in Victoria Island? Please assist with an answer.

Thank you.
