Hello House,

I have just been contacted by GSM Brisbane. They asked for:
1. Evidence of change of name for all other names (for me and my husband) mentioned in my application and
2. PCC for these names.

Please i need urgent help with these questions

Can we use court affidavits as evidence for the name change?
Can one PCC serve for up to 3 names of one person?
Also can we get PCC (Nigeria) without an international passport bearing each of the names? These names are not officially in use, but appear on birth certificate and degree result.

cc jamson

Kinda unusual situation there. It is now established that DIBP no dey take change of name play at all. For evidence of change of name I made use of newspaper declaration. An affidavit should do the job as well. It's hard for me to say whether or not you should get PCC for each name especially if the bearer is less than 16 years old. But I know for sure you can get PCC for a name other than that on the passport

I just spoke with NIS officer at Osogbo office now and he said there is no booklet for now. The few one available goes to the highest bidder.

The money allowed is 10,000 Australia Dollar or it equivalent in other currency.

I don't think it's that difficult in Aussie. I know someone who went to Canberra last week and could have received it same day but she had to travel back cos of work. And they said it will be posted to her.

Unfortunately, the information is not free. I subscribed to the Nigerian Country Education Profile last year but my subscription has expired. The subscription gives you access to view the CEPs online.

Distributing or reproducing information contained therein is illegal else, I would have taken screenshots before my subscription expired.

I know for sure that UNILAG is a section 1 school, OOU is a section 2 school, UNIBEN is a section 2 school. The link to the site is https://internationaleducation.gov.au/Services-And-Resources/services-for-organisations/Pages/Services-for-organisations.aspx.

Subscription to the profile for Nigerian schools costs 45.45 aud.

What of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta? Is it a section 1 or section 2 institution?

Dear Bellong and other Gurus, I have another set of questions:

1. IOM stated that 40Kg baggage allowance is allowed for each adult and children, is this separate from hand luggage that can been put in the luggage compartment of the plane.

2. Does the 40Kg mean one bag or weight can be split into two.

3. Has anyone been successful with getting PTA from the bank using one way relocation flight ticket and PR visa or is this restricted to return trips alone.

Sorry I'm asking a lot of questions but I no wan miss road as my journey don near

Thanks in advance.

Why should anybody PM you. As a research student, you have resources at your disposal on the thread, yet you are asking someone to pm you.

Being in the country already is no advantage for anybody to give you a customised guidance.

You were part of the group advised to be patient and come on PR instead of student visa but you were too much in a hurry because you had plenty money to spend...

If you are ready, you will read and follow through with info on the thread.

Surprised at u all n ur utterances.
Anyways no worries

Bros, rather than the mud slinging and hurling of insults, reading the first 2-3 pages of the thread will do you good and moreso, being an Engineer, this thread seems to favour you a lot.

Downshift your gear abeg.

Bellong doesn' t deserve that insult.

Mr Bambiizu. You are new here and you are not the first to request a PM. I do get PMs countless number of times and its tiring schooling everyone on the rudiments of the application. All you needed was in the first two pages where the person you are ranting on took precious time to simplify for everyone here. Subsequent questions were addressed in further pages. Check the timelines of the people you are quoting and see that some have gone months years in various stages. So you don't just enter from no where to begin yapping like a lazy proud boy.

No need for this kind of talk. We all have (different) situations here, but the fact that migrating to Australia is a common factor is what brought us all here, you included. What's on your mind is no one's business, solely yours. Judging from numbers here, this thread is tremendously helpful. If you choose to ask for help, get it but don't leave 'poo' on the way, because you may take the same way back.

To this Bambizzle opening his /her mouth talking to our own Bellong like this, Meen you need to be tongue lash. If you don't know how to politely request for assistance, it simply means you are not a true naija. You need to be tot ethic, courtesy and respect. Bellong is our man, God has been using him to make dreams come true, therefore I silence you and if you are not careful no-one on this forum will provide any assistance to you. @mamajaz over to you. its 40KG each for Madam and Yourself (80KG Total) and it can be distributed into multiple bags (2 or 3 max). however i will advise against having too many bags in other to avoid misplacement and Stress of opening and verifying with immigration

3. Has anyone been successful with getting PTA from the bank using one way relocation flight ticket and PR visa or is this restricted to return trips alone.
According to the CBN CIRCULAR, You can get US$4,000 for yourself and another US$4,000 for Madam, since applicants must be 18years and above, not sure about the kids.

Sorry I'm asking a lot of questions but I no wan miss road as my journey don near

1. IOM stated that 40Kg baggage allowance is allowed for each adult and children, is this separate from hand luggage that can been put in the luggage compartment of the plane. Is the 40kg written on your ticket? Or in IOM's email? As this baggage allowance from IOM is lesser than the (23kgx2)pieces stated on the Emirates website. Pls confirm.

Meanwhile, to your query, in addition to checked baggage, you still have 7kg hand luggage for sure

2. Does the 40Kg mean one bag or weight can be split into two. Two

3. Has anyone been successful with getting PTA from the bank using one way relocation flight ticket and PR visa or is this restricted to return trips alone. Highly unlikely to get PTA without a return ticket

Sorry I'm asking a lot of questions but I no wan miss road as my journey don near

Bros, seriously there's no need for the name calling. This forum is filled with people who's got each others back. Bellong is a selfless person who takes out time to give information and render help to people, same applies to several others I can't begin to mention.
I joined this thread on page 66, every information I have emanated from here including references to other sites.
I hv accessed with EA, even the least of information on how to get documents notarized which I have never done before I found out here.
So if people are telling you to read through it is because they know and are sure the information you need is here.
Moreso you are presently researching and we believe you should know better.
No offence bro, but please relationship is key, you can't call everyone names and be free to find assistance from the same people you call bluff.
