True value of a stock is determined when it comes under selling pressure, and it can stay at its average price, not when everything is rosy and it's easily climbing...

Just like human being, true person in a man comes out when he comes under "a test" & he can still stand...

Currentprice, it seems there is someone trying to exit Total between 290-300 range. Any clues?

Also, can you help bring the price down to 250? grin grin grin

This shows the limitations of technical analysis although it can be a brilliant tool. Most times it is REACTIVE and may not necessarily be PROACTIVE. smiley

Many forecasting tools are lagging including fundamentals, however, depending on your experience level, you can actually turn some to leading indicators...

You clearly invest with a gambling mentality. I am not saying you cannot make money. I am appealing that you do not spread this hapahazard logic as sacrosanct. There has to be a method to the madness even if the madness does not always win the MAD award.

BullBearMkt:

Kudos!!! Many investors/traders come up with their analysis (fundamental/technical) and belief a stock should rise, but instead of rising, the stock price continue to fall. Many will add to their position believing their analysis is correct! This is totally WRONG! As someone put it, why do you want to catch a falling knife... all you'll get is BLOOD on your hands. At this point forget about fundamentals, forget about technical, forget about what you think is correct, what matters is how the market sees the stock... Market will dictate the right price for that stock.

TAKE: Never add position to a losing trade.

Wrong! The stock's price is ex-div. Anyone buying yesterday or today... will NOT get the dividend. Be careful with your posts.

Unfortunately, I'll not have change of words with "a pure illiterate" like you. All my contributions are directed to people that want to learn trading in a professional way and not the so called experts that make people loose their hard-earned money.

You get defensive with abusive words to distract and deflect. Find your sparring partner and find DECORUM while at it. It is clearly not me. The anonymity of the internet should not be a base for uncouth manners.

I would rather buy FBNH and watch it add 50kobo than buy Zenith even if it will add 2naira.

Tx Tritri. Just wondering when technical analysis I have been talking about then becomes gambling mentality/madness he/she talking about. That's quite unfortunate. Major problem with many of us is intolerance of other people's opinion.

Good strategy... grin

Zenith doing N2 from markdown is very similar to FBNH doing N0.5 from N3.00.
The only difference is the UNKNOWN FACTORS in both equations.... grin

Number crunching + unknowns of NSE..... grin

Typical Nigerian fight back when they want to suppress what they do not LIKE. They have to go on a tirade of some sort.

More detailed focus on your part instead of being eager to rebuke and retort, you will notice that as at May 2015, Skye Bank had not released its 2014 financials; the last audited result available then was 2013 which was handled by Deloitte.

No where in the write-up did it say other audit firms have clean hands. The focus here is on Deloitte simple.

No one likes their profession to be excoriated; nonetheless, if we want things right, we need to address what is wrong and not embellish. The TRUTH is usually bitter; this does not in anyway infer the TRUTH is not fit for consumption.

Best wishes

123ABCXYZ:

Rubbish... Very biased and uninformed write up. PWC and EY have also been fined this year and KPMG Nigeria is still battling with the FRC with respect to stanbic. PWC has been d auditor of Skye bank since 2014 that is in d trenches and not Deloitte as mentioned in d artice. The problems of auditor independence is an issue dat cuts across audit firms.

I have worked in a big 4 firm before (not deloitte) and to be honest, it would most times take d grace of God to discover fraud committed at d mgt or board level. That is why sometimes wen i see people open their mouths and blame auditors i just laff. If an organisation wants to fool an auditor, it will most likely succeed if it knows wat it is doing.

I believe dat wat we need in Nigerian entities is proper corporate governance which is lacking EVERYWHERE...
