Guys my name is .... and I'm new to nairaland. I've been having this issue for some time, I study in Ukraine, medical student.
I am a talkative, I am funny as well but I talk a lot and I also misbehave just to make people laugh.
I get insults at the end of the day but I can not change. This is really affecting me because I just become friend zoned by any Lady I approach because they think I am joking.
It really gets into me but some people think I am this jovial person so they say whatever they want.
Please I need help

Its not that they think you're joking. Its that you didn't build the physical attraction.

Girls like funny guys, and you got that covered. but when everything you do is an effort to get a laugh out of people, then you lose any physical attraction that may be building.

DO THIS,

1) learn when to stop joking around. I.e make a joke or two, then say something like: "on a more serious note....conversation"

2) Never resort to a joke to disperse tension when talking to a girl. handle pressure like a man, hold eye contact and smile more instead of laughing sporadically.

Finally, Being funny gives you great conversation skills.
Use this ability, to reel in peoples attention. Sooner or later, they'll take you seriously.

Try harder, you got no choice here nigga...always be concious of the spirit whenever it comes and surpress it...do this continually and i promise you, you'd be free in no little time.

Sometimes I try to keep to myself without speaking to any body but it doesn't work
