So yesterday I went for my interview and Omg I still haven't recovered from the shock
I'm still down sef
The visa was refused

Me; I work with bla bla bla as a ..... and my duties include yadi yadi ya

Me; I saw the advert online and applied for the job
Vo; Have you travelled before
Me Yes three times to the uk(mistake oooo)and ive only travelled twice,gosh it just slipped out of my mouth, though I have 3 uk visas and I only used 2, and it was years ago as a teenager and young adult.

She flipped through the pages of the old passport over and over and over, wetin she dey find I no know
There's this particular visa that doesn't have my passport photo on it but I travelled with it, she kept using her hand to feel that page

The next thing I heard
Sorry, you can convince another VO next time and she handed me the blue slip

My people I'm yet to recover from it...........lol
Pls tell me where I went wrong o

And how long do I wait before I reapply

Conference is coming up in May

@crytolady this is one of the rare times I will tell an applicant to reapply immedately.
IMO, it wasn't the mistake you made that caused the refusal. Rather, I'm of the opinion that the VO was not convinced your visas were real.
Way forward:
When reapplying . In the reason for refusal, state that
1. You made a mistake an answered 3 times instead of 2ice for previous UK travel
2. That you believe the VO was not convinced your visas were real. And you are willing to demonstrate the authenticity of the visa if need be by any means possible and within your ability (I assume the visas are real). And that they are welcome to conduct any validity checks if they are so minded to
So , if you can cough up another 50k go for it

I agree with LadyG, it not a matter of digging any pit and entering it nor answering 3 rimes instead of 2 times, the VO was simply not convinced of the authenticity of the visas and due to the short time frame he/she could not conduct verification, Just follow LadyG's advise and reapply atleast the interview will give you the opportunity to explain yourself. And try to build your confidence when next you go for the interview.

Please what are the things she needs before the interview date. She is above 60yrs. Is it true she won't need finger printing and police clearance? What of medical report? Please her interview date is fast approaching and I need info on the necessary step to take.

Police clearance ke? . Is she coming to visit you or see a dr? That determines, the medical report part. But I know a sure banker question is 'how did your daughter get into America/ Or how did she become a citizen or a resident there'.

I got in through marriage. I went through all that,medicals, finger printing and police clearance cos mine was immigrant visa. I have never done tourist visa and dont know whats required? Please i need someone to enlighten me. She is just coming for omugwo.

LOOL, she will be fine. Just put her through the questions that was asked on the form and what you filled. She does not need medical or police report. The VO's actually tend to favor mature people because the likelihood of them running is zero to none(LOL). Congratulations on your baby!!!!
