Pro Rata Occupations

[b]Accountants and Auditors are the most difficult occupations - they currently require 70 points for an invitation, and waiting times for an invitation are quite long even with this score (3-6 months)

Good morning good people here. Is it possible for someone who has ONLY his O level result and TOEFL result to score well
and qualify for this skilled migrant program.
You need post secondary school certificate or vocational certificate like NABTEB, Trade Test or Apprenticeship certificate (from a registered organization) to be able to get a positive assessment.

I learnt Electrical Engineering, but no certificate to show for it., but i can prove it practically. Or is there any certification course i can take to qualify for any of the three visa classes?
With the old TRA guide line it is possible to get a positive assessment if one works in a particular field and later proceed to get a qualification to back it up, but with the new guide line it a little bit difficult.

I have funds about 2.5million in account, will it be helpful to my application process? Age is 21

Please go through TRA guideline for more clarification.

Do you have at least one year experience in GIS or remote sensing?

If not, wait till you get experience in the occupation because it is assessed by VETASSES.

@toslad,

State nomination or assessment for alternate occupation that is not competitive. If you are married or engaged, your spouse's occupation may be the way to go.

@40manlappy,

Which state have you applied to?

Good Evening House,
Please i would like to know if i stand a chance.
I have a Diploma in Law and a degree in History.
I have three years previous experience as an account officer in bank A and presently with bank B as a Customer Care Rep in the Contact Centre Unit of the bank for more than a year now.

Can i nominate Financial Investment Adviser (ANZSCO Code 222311) or Call/Contact Centre Manager (ANZSCO Code 149211). Both are assessed by almighty VETASSESS.

While an account officer in Bank A, i performed some of the tasks listed for Financial Investment Adviser but do not know if it would suffice for VETASSESS.

And in my present job as a customer care representative those listed are somewhat different and tend to speak more of the role in a managerial manner as listed below:
Developing and reviewing policies, programs and procedures concerning customer relations and goods and services provided
Ensuring operational efficiency within a call centre
Providing direction and feedback to team members and assisting with recruitment
Managing, motivating and developing staff providing customer services
Planning and implementing after-sales services to follow up customer satisfaction, ensure performance of goods purchased, and modify and improve services provided
Liaising with other organisational units, service agents and customers to identify and respond to customer expectations
May work in a call centre
Please can i still go ahead and nominate Call/Contact Centre Manager and list my duties as a Customer Care Rep?

Please help a sister so i don't make a mistake.

Thank you

ACS is for ICT related occupations e.g programmers, software developers, system analyts, web developers etc, and your qualifications and work experience must highly relevant to ICT.

You can assess with VETASSESS under 'other spatial scientist'. It will be tricky though because of your first degree in Mathematics, you're required to have your qualifications in a highly relevant field of study. Tangible experience in GIS coupled with your Masters qualification could do the trick.
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by bellong: 12:50am On Mar 21, 2017
@Sylokobi,

Only South Australia sponsors financial investment adviser and you must have 75 points to be nominated as it is on special conditions.

Customer service manager is also on special conditions and only on 489 visa.

If you think you can meet up to 75 points, you can go ahead with the assessment.

If you are married, your husband can be the principal applicant if he has his occupation on the list.

I frankly don't see how you can get this before july.. Not to discourage you, but the ceiling for mechanical is almost full... And except your undergrad was in Australia or you have 3 years of experience, I'm not sure where the extra 5 points can come from to give you 70 for faster invitation...

So I'll advise you to take your mind off July and proceed at a normal pace. Even if it is removed from sol, some states will continue to sponsor it.. At worst, you'll get 190.. So you're fine... And yes, your first order of business should be to draft your cdr and submit for Assessment with that ielts 6.5 ... And book another test for maximum English points... Cheers

Hello everyone! I have learnt a lot from this thread. Please I need your advice.
My fiance and I are getting married soon and we plan to process OZ PR. When he was in Nigeria,he got an offer from RObert Gordon University to do his BSC in Engineering but to start from year 3. After year 3 he was given his BSC cert which he went ahead to have a Masters in the Uk. I will like to know if he will be positively assessed by EA. He has over 10years work experience.

What accord does his degree fall under? Will he need to write a CDR?

Please help a sister

Go on EA website , check the various accord match your hubby's uni and graduation year to confirm which accord hd wld be classed under.

The only work experience to be recognised will be the years after his degree not the years before.

Hello for the person asking about assessment for lawyers, its a very long process. You can only get a semi positive assessment if you attended unilorin or any of the very few naija universities yhat offer common law. You will then be advised on what courses to write in their uni. After passing the courses, you'll have to also do practical legal training as a lawyer or attend law school, pass after which you can get full assessment. Your years of work experience prior to this does not count.

As regards to the recent review of DIBP on sine courses Like ICT raising the point to 65 for independent class. Does one still need to have 65 points if he's applying through state nomination? Or just the normal 60points.

It is actually 55 points. unless otherwise specified by the state. If you can get 55 points you can apply. state gives you additional 5 points if successful. And they are not subjected to occupational ceiling.

Based on your experience (and this goes out to others in the house please), what state would you recommend he applies for nomination to as per his mechanical engineering background.
