We can learn from the below .
A brother moved to Makkah many years ago. He was a high flying manager of major departmental stores in U.K., Malaysia and China. He had been brought in by Bin Dawood stores as a regional manager for the Makkah region. He was from England.
After living and working in Saudi for some time, he later narrated how he found it so strange, unique and uplifting in how business was done in Saudi. Here were the examples he gave:
1. In Makkah, next to a major Bin Dawood superstore a rival new company were entering the kingdom and decided to open a mega store right next to Bin Dawood, within metres. The brother was perturbed, "Why can't they open just somewhere else."The owners of Bin Dawood frowned on his outlook. They ordered him to send his workers to the other store being setup and offer them tea and food and any help they needed to setup! The brother was left astounded. The Bin Dawood management simply replied, "Our rizq is fixed, they cannot take even a single riyal from what has been decreed upon us. So why not gain ajr and help them."
2. The owner of alFakieh poultry in Saudi, he has a famous mosque in MAKKAH (Masjid Faqih). He is very rich ماشاء الله تبارك الله and religious. He found out that his major rival AlWatania was floundering with huge debts of a million plus riyals. So he one day sent a cheque to the owner of AlWatania and said, "Pay off your debt, and pay me back, whenever you can." He had the opportunity to become the sole major distributor of chicken but instead he decided to help his main rival.

I personally feel we have been affected growing up in the west with the capitalistic and consumer mindset that is in every part of our lives. It removes Tawakkul and the muhabbah of brotherhood from our hearts. Just some advice. Don't worry about others, if you do your work with Ihsan and Allah gives you tawfeeq then you will never have your success limited by others.

ALTERNATIVES NOT TO ENTER ONE MOTORCYCLE WITH A FEMALE!!!
1. Most of the places okada can get to you can also use commercial buses to get there though it will be stopping to drop and pick passengers but it's worth it.
I remember the quote our teacher taught us in primary 4 "it is better to late to where you're going than for you yourself to be late" in this case, "it's better you late to where you're going than to get into Allah's wrath"
2. You can tell the bike man before entering that you will want him to carry only a man if you're a man and vice versa and they agree once they see you're Alfa or eleha. But many of the people who love evil are making this seem like strictness to those okada men. Allohul musta'aan.
I've noticed a bike man in orita akperin calling he needs only male when there was an Alfa with him already.
3. When you tell them you won't accept that the opposite sex sits with you on okada they only add #10 or #20 and they'll carry only you to the place.
4. If you're already on okada and they want to carry opposite sex just come down and waka the rest, Allah will reward for leaving something for his sake.
5. If none of the above will work for you then don't go out of the house cos na iruju you wan bring
All I said are peculiar to Ibadan where I know. May Allah give us strength to obey Him and not try to bring flimsy excuses.

This kind of case is very rare in Lagos........ But for commercial buses, Allahul musta'aan

I think it would help if we had more female drivers in Nigeria.

It was narrated that Jaabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: “The Shaytaan is present with any one of you in all his affairs.” Narrated by Muslim (2033).

Honestly shaytan starts from things that are permissible. For example from saying salam alaykum to the opposite gender, to taking her number and then maybe private chats about the religion, to chats about their hobbies and dislikes.Feelings then start to come up, then it goes on to just going out/ meeting in a public places and before one knows it, there are both in seclusion. And we all know who the third party is when an unrelated male and female are together. Then people start to commit major sins and realize when it's too late.

May Allah protect us.

It was narrated from Abu Sa‘eed al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Iblees said: ‘By Your Glory, I shall strive to lead Your slaves astray so long as their souls are in their bodies.’ Allah said: ‘By My Glory and Majesty, I shall continue to forgive them so long as they ask Me for forgiveness.’”

لا يستقيم إيمان عبد حتى يستقيم قلبه، ولا يستقيم قلبه حتى يستقيم لسانه

A slave's iman cant be upright until he seek to make his heart upright and his heart cant be upright until he seeks to make his tongue upright.

found in musnad ahmad and was declared hasan by shaykh Al-Albaani.

And if the debtor is in a hard time (has no money), then grant him time till it is easy for him to repay, but if you remit it by way of charity, that is better for you if you did but know.

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Satan has lost hope that those who pray on the Arabian peninsula will ever worship him, so instead he arouses discord between them.”

An-Nawawi said, “Satan strives to cause discord between them with disputes, hatred, wars, tribulations, and so forth.”

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The gates of Paradise are opened on Monday and Thursday, and everyone who does not associate anything with Allaah is forgiven, except a man who has had an argument with his brother. It is said: ‘Wait for these two until they reconcile, wait for these two until they reconcile, wait for these two until they reconcile.” Narrated by Muslim, 2565.

Al-Bukhaari (2589) and Muslim (1622) narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (sa) said: “The one who takes back his gift is like the dog which vomits then goes back to its vomit.”

Jundub bin 'Abdullah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, *"Once someone said: 'By Allah! Allah will not forgive such and such (a person).' Thereupon Allah, the Exalted and the Glorious, said: 'Who is he who takes an oath in My Name that I will not grant pardon to so-and-so? I have granted pardon to so-and-so and rendered your good deeds fruitless.'''*

[Muslim].

Some people become self-conceited as a result of their excessive worship to the point that they start disparaging and making low estimates of their fellow Muslims and their deeds, little knowing that Allah, Glorious is He, is of vast forgiveness. They do not realize that if Allah so wills, He can destroy all their deeds and consign them to Hell and send the other people who have been disparaged and underestimated to Jannah. Therefore, one should never become proud of his piety nor should one consider others of little value or good deeds, as only Allah Alone knows what is inside our hearts.
