SENTIMENT IN TRADING Good morning all. Once again, permit me to show you how you can make emotion (market sentiments) work for you. Generally, when majority of investors/traders are pessimistic, that is when market turns and start moving up and on the other hand, if majority are optimistic, price reverses & start the journey down...(not absolute though!). Uuuuhmm, this boy has come again... don't worry, let me show you 2 recent great examples on NSE... ![]() Chart 1 is GTB daily price chart. The red circle indicates the day the bank announced its 2016 or Q4 2016 result (you see, I don't even know which is which... all I am concerned about is there was a news from the bank). This irritated investors. I warned on this forum that day about what happened with UBA stock in 2015... the rest is history. The second day, people started selling heavily but at the end of the day, there was no decision (blue circle)... THIS IS A SIGNAL TO ME. The next 2 days shows powerful bulls coming into the market & guest what? that was a good entry point. I rode this until I saw some bear now showing up. Now let's look at the second example, that is UCAP. There was price mark down after dividend was paid, then bear was in full force till some Bull started knocking (blue circle). That was a warning signal... The next day, price went higher, but bear won. After this, I noticed the bull was in charge & before market closed, that was a good entry... I think that is enough... TAKE: Fundamental, sentiment and technical analysis rule the stock market. Greed is powerful while fear is short live... PLAN YOUR TRADE AND TRADE YOUR PLAN.
