Although he went to the extreme but let's also look at what the content of that letter can do to him. Men and women find themselves in this situation if extreme care is not taken when jilted in a relationship where the love is one sided. They can also resort to violence against the other person which could result to body harm or even death.

That girl is so heartless. There was no need for her to crush his self-esteem. She could have just ended the relationship without advertising her new handsome boyfriend, that hurts so much.
