It has a different case with other stocks when you come to share price issue. This is the only south African company quoted on the NSE.I cant remember if there is any other except tiger brand that later withdrew.

Oga, have been monitoring the stock since morning, it has been moving between 18,16,17

For a stock that is paying 0.5K has dividend, it should be selling below N13.

What makes it different from fcmb and fbn? They all are listed as group companies at NSE.
Do you also know Stanbic is a Tier2 bank?
May be it's trading high because it is a group company but depends most on their bank subsidiary for survival.
To me,it is suppose to trade below #10.
Bear in mind it is own by the foreigners who knows the secret.

Fundamentally, Larfarge is still a stock selling far below its true value. I can say the giant is gradually recovering and ready to take back its market leadership position from dangote cement. With the return to profitability, peace in the niger delta and sustained oil price rally, the terrible days of the company are over. Anyone buying now should quickly do so because its going to be expensive before end of Q3- 2017.

Disclosure: Yours truly have substantial interest in this company. DD is duly advised.
You need to go back and look at the result again o.
Wapco has not returned to operational profit yet. The profit you see there is from tax credit which to me I questionable.

rebekah2011:
They are paying dividend from reserves.
You siad tax credit in your initial post and not dividend which are two different issues. Let me help you, the credit results from deferred tax adjustment recoverable from future use of capitalized assets. There is huge tax benefits to be enjoyed by the company from its massive asset accumulation and operational losses reported in the past.

On dividend, where else would they have paid it from if not from reserve. Dividend is normally paid from reserves. However, in extreme cases, companies borrow to pay dividend which negates best practice.
