Tribalism and Religion

These are the two major problems Nigeria is facing.
northerners on one hand feels Nigeria is their property and by right they wants to rule till eternity. its an aged long mentality, see all the head of security operatives(Northerners), what u see is pure tribalism....... anyway we are still coping.

On the other hand is the yorubas,
they blindly follow the northerners simply because most of them share the same RELIGION with the northerners as (......)

Those are the reasons why we are generally aclaimed the laziest ethnic group. We assisted Buhari into power, yet we turned out to be the people being oppressed. No appointment etc. I can assure us that the same, we, the yorubas will vote for these people come 2019 and describe our lazy and frear fear actions as our brothers, neighbours keepers as defence. Laziness has become out second name.

I blame lalasticlala for allowing tribalism to dominate nairaland, there is nothing you can read in nairaland without these sorry tribalists dominating and corrupting with their petty quarrels, every tribe is corrupt, wicked, and should as far as am concerned manage themselves.....
Though I experienced the pogrom in the north and I'm Igbo I can honestly say I met hundreds of Hausa's who would have died for me in a heartbeat,
Fast forward 10 years; am in Lagos and currently employed by a Yoruba Muslim who treats me like his brother, another who has paid my rent twice just because I teach his kids mathematics sometimes,
All the Christian Yoruba's in my office make it a duty to give me the best experience in Lagos.... And so much kindness I never thought was possible......
Please nairalanders the problem is not the people or their cultures, its the political elite who constantly divide the people, rob us and allow hate to reign....
The moment we realize these politicians are the problem, the faster our salvation

Is Mr. Idris talking about suspects or criminals?
Nepotism and power drunkenness will ruin Buhari and his people.
But the trouble is that for the south, these things are fine if it happens to the other people
But only bad if it happens to us.
I remember when Buhari was Busy calling SE/SS his 5%ters and SW part of his 97%ters and
went ahead to kill unarmed protesters in a democracy. Many people in the SW revelled, reached orgasm
and claimed Buhari was on track to fix Nigeria. Now here is a fight between members of two ethnic groups
and only one group got arrested and paraded including a royal leader.

If this had been between Hausa and Igbos, nothing would have been wrong with the actions and comments
of the IGP on this matter.

However, Southern Nigeria must begin to learn that some people up north really see no friends in the south
even if you are fellow muslims. Buhari's nepotism and draconian approach to democratic expressions must stop
receiving applause in the south, so that even little children can see government's approach so far on this
Ife crisis for what it is.

If this IGP does not know the difference between suspects and criminals, or chooses to rapidly promote them
in the name of ethnic solidarity, then here is the rot they claim they came to clean up.

Abeg which date did the NPF become the judiciary? The police do not have the investigative tools to quickly conclude a ethnic strife.

The Yoruba people have every reason to feel wronged when the case has not been taken to court and the police have been openly lopsided with their punitive arrests.

Unless the police are claiming that all those killed and injured are Hausa, they should arrest belligerents from both sides in order to quell the anger and douse the flames of tribal war.
