I met the phone on 8.1.2.0 updated to 8.1.4.0 about 72 MB, the immediately I got another update for 8.2.1.0 1.5G.. after checking I saw its is 7.0,

its obvious that much ba3 optimization was done on redmi note 4(x) compared to redmi 4 prime, dt reviewer for gizchina or gizmochina also said sumthin to corroborate gsmarena's claim....

If it's me, i will open a dispute first, to receive partial refund for device not working properly. After that has been solved, if the seller wanna help u, they can send u the part that needs to be changed or u source for it urself,

But note that u need to change to the correct mic or else, ur mic may not function well and most importantly the mic might be functional maybe it wasn't soldered well.
In any case, make sure to have a replacement down before opening ur phone. If u are in lagos, u will get a good engineer in computer village if u look well.

Try making calls in Landscape mode, that should trigger the secondary mic if the main mic has issues.

Or you use the Sound About app.
