imagine ordinary office clerk saying board of directors can not summon him

let's attack the individual and respect the institution

Only in a doomed company will the board of directors be so idle as to summon an ordinary clerk.

Unfortunately for you and your ilk, you are a bunch of inconsequential nonentities who have zero knowledge of the workings of government.
Ignorant people like you pushed GEJ to his ruin and you're back to infecting whoever you support with your atrocious luck.

My advice to you is that you seek advice on legal matters before commenting and stop coming here to disgrace yourself.
Okay oya ask the professor of law to confirm the new REC and ministerial nominees. The Senate will grind the machinery of government until the president will have no other choice but to sack them to appease the Senate

Ruin?

So losing an election means ruin? No wonder Africans refuse to relinquish power. They think they must die in office.

Worldly power is transient. He served nearly 6 years. That was enough.

20 years from now, Nigerians can more objectively judge both GEJ & Buhari govts. That is democracy. We African need to understand that.

This bunch of senators are nothing but jokers.

I am sure they are burning their candle to very end.

In their their minds they are thinking they are inflicting pains on the the
people they are representing by not sporing bills and passing laws
that will ameliorate the suffering of the masses.

Very soon i am sure they will all be the ultimate losers.

Truly they have no such power to summon him. Since his appointment did not pass through the senate they have no authority over him.

l taya for this useless government, l expect them to be summoning price control boards & everything and anything to do with bringing down the prices of goods and services but rather it is Saraki jeep, Dino, Certificates, Sagay, uniform of customs they are busy talking about , no serious bills to address the high cost of living, what kind of useless politicians we have in Nigeria, na wao sad

Unfortunately I don't see this changing anytime soon, these are the kinds of irrelevant things they will keep chasing after until the final whistle is blown.

No policies
No direction
No investments
No long term plans or implementation
No strategy

How on earth will the country move forward?
Nigerians are in for it, anyway what's my own there.

GEJ served as Deputy Gov, Governor, VP, President for 6 years but Otueke people didn't have water or good roads simply because he followed sycophants like the original poster I quoted.

Goodluck's greatest ruin wasn't the fact that he lost an election, it is the fact that he lost the goodwill of the people who loved him most.

Go figure.

99.9% of the senators are fantastically corrupt

The remaining 0.1% are still corrupt

The day i knew PMB was not serious was the day he allowed saraki and that crook in HOR to take over such paramount institutions.

If it was OBJ he would've fought tooth and nail to get those scoundrels out, even if it means unleashing the military

When I said Sagay should be stripped of his professorship, people thought I was being harsh..

This is from the constitution

(1) For the purposes of any investigation under section 88 of this Constitutional and subject to the provisions thereof, the Senate or the House of Representatives or a committee appointed in accordance with section 62 of this Constitution shall have power to -
(a) procure all such evidence, written or oral, direct or circumstantial, as it may think necessary or desirable, and examine all persons as witnesses whose evidence may be material or relevant to the subject matter;

(c) summon any person in Nigeria to give evidence at any place or produce any document or other thing in his possession or under his control, and examine him as a witness and require him to produce any document or other thing in his possession or under his control, subject to all just exceptions; and
(d) issue a warrant to compel the attendance of any person who, after having been summoned to attend, fails, refuses or neglects to do so and does not excuse such failure, refusal or neglect to the satisfaction of the House or the committee in question, and order him to pay all costs which may have been occasioned in compelling his attendance or by reason of his failure, refusal or neglect to obey the summons, and also to impose such fine as may be prescribed for any such failure, refused or neglect; and any fine so imposed shall be recoverable in the same manner as a fine imposed by a court of law.

I wonder if Itse Sagay is no longer a Nigerian in Nigeria that 1 (c) of the above section doesn't apply to him.

What a disgrace

You are talking out of point. His reply is a watery defence that's out of fear as he doesn't know the ramification of embarrassment he wants to cause his boss.

The Senate can invite him. The Senate can invite the president. Not to talk of him.

People like you, keep pushing buhari and his team. No problem. By the time they mess him up he will be alone in the woods.

What view, other than calling people corrupt and interfering with court judgments.
