90% of students of Nekede Poly are people who can't secure admission in Universities and they are much more below average. The first girl I would have married finished from there, her academic weakness made me change my mind, honestly...It was too bad

Lots of university graduates may not be able to write as much as she even did. At least we see them here on Nairaland, and I'm not talking about that adaskbullet guy.(that one's a known troll)

Now I see why our certificates are practically worthless outside the continent.

The rot in the system is real let nobody fool themselves about it. This one is supposed to be an OND graduate and the institution issued her a certificate showing she is worthy of character and learning, by the time you ask the school now I am sure another story will come out.

We don't laugh over everything, whosoever released this to the media is a useless and shameless human, just look deep, the girl once worked at Links hotel, probably while a student. You see a poor girl trying to make ends meet and won't have time to be going to school. is not easy for her. maybe she acquired the Ond knowing it could upgrade her pay rather than waec/neco. She's better than those LovePeddler in the name of runs girls.
Some of you here had your uncles and parents pump money to you while in School yet came out with 3rd and lower classes.

Why isn't a letter like this attributed to a student of private university? Why is something like this always attributed to polytechnic students? With the level of education deterioration in Nigeria, does it mean that only polytechnic produce half and ill-baked graduates?

Most of the so called graduates we have now are nothing but a glorified primary school certificate"s holder..I have had personal encounter with many of them and i wonder how they graduated from school..Go to the NYSC camp and see some of our graduates.

Stop making excuses for incompetency and truancy while in School.

I applaud anyone that wants to improve themselves academically but please, if you go to School, face School, pay attention and make something good out of it, instead of wasting your time pretending you are schooling.

You see, this is the bane of education in Nigeria. Many so called graduates can't even read, most have very bad hand writings and others can't spell.

Basic education starts from primary school. if you can't read such novels like "Chile and the River" without being supervised in your Primary 5 class, then your English language is LIKELY to have some problem in the course of your education.

What I am saying is that pupils/students should be able to read novels that are not basically in their curriculum independently at least till they get to their first 9 years of education(JSS3). It doesn't matter what course or career you want to pursue in life, this is basic if a child would sound in both written and spoken English.

Everyday in Nigeria I see people spewing, speaking and writing rubbish.
For the records I did the sciences in high school and I am an Engineer. In fact I used to teach chemistry yet my English language keeps getting better because I still read a lot of other materials not necessarily in my career.

I am so ashamed of some graduates in Nigeria.

@folks doubting the story, you'll be surprised. I used to be skeptical of these stories too until I actually took to asking to see these youngins in the streets write. One 19 year old sitting for the UTME writes exactly like this, and this girl is amazingly good looking. Makes me sad everytime, especially as they don't seem too bothered.
Other end of the spectrum, my little niece of 7 crosses her "T's" and dots her "I's" and her diction is impeccable(almost).

I've seen and dated 'queens of the coast' while in Medical school in Uniben, and they were absolutely brilliant despite all the disturbance from me and other guys in their first 3 or 4 years thereabout. Girls wey dull, dull. Them only know how to open leg, collect condo for some wads of cash. They know that's the only way they can ever achieve anything in life so they don't bother to stress their brain.
