First define who a pastor is,his responsibilities and his calling, then answer yourself

Please don't quote me again abeg. I don't know how to argue
you are simply unintelligent. A pastor like everyother person is a citizen and should enjoy the rights every citizen of a country enjoys. Does your responsibility stop you from being a citizen? Answer that. A pastor is not a house boy neither is he supposed to live like one without rights. A pastor should not suffer humiliation because he is a pastor. He is human and has human rights!

I wonder what the pastor will preach on the topic "forgiveness". Jesus told his disciples saying they will call you names, persecute you and subject you to all kinds of ridicules in my name but he who is steadfast shall overcome. The same Jesus while answering the question on how many times one will offend you in a day before you retaliate, said seventy times seven. Some pastors actions just prove they are into the business of making money and not rendering service to God. Hypocrites everywhere.

Suleiman personally asked El rufai to reverse his decision on banning public preaching or die.

I mean die. He said it. I watched it

Check YouTube if you have doubts. But followers like you will call it freedom of speech too

Don't quote again. Please
just like many come to conclusion without evidences, that's why you can support the lady. What makes you think I am suleiman's follower. If EL rufai had arrested him, Elrufai has every right to do that. It's left for elrufai to exercise that right and not people doing it for him. Thats the point. Everyone has got access to their rights!

At least you agree it was an offence, The offence of defamation of character and personality through proven false allegation can also pass off as a criminal offense, whatever the case, Human rights laws permits freedom of speech but it didn't give anyone licence to spread false allegations to publicly ridicule and defame someone else reputation and character.

That some others didn't take the case to court doesn't mean it is right and should be encouraged.Someone must be made a scapegoat and thought a lesson.Kemi is that scapegoat.

What are you even talking about?

She is innocent until proven guilty.

The case hasn't even been tried and you just defamed her character by claiming she is guilty.

I hope you have no "legal training' because that will just be disastrous.

You should be used as a scapegoat on Nairaland for defamation too.

I will save money, pay some Nigerian magistrate and Nigerian police and have you arrested and detained in kiri-kiri without trial.

Watch out!!!

different context... steadfast here means not giving up. Will you forgive a man who murders your children seventy times. We need wisdom. Jesus answered that way because he knew they wanted to find faults in him and a reason for him to face pilate. It's not about one pastor. It's about a lady that goes up and down defaming people. The pastor is "one witness"
Re: Kemi Olunloyo Re-arrested, Pastor Ibiyeomie To Appear As Witness In Court by mickeymimi: 1:19pm On Mar 31, 2017
If Kemi was wrong and lying .. let her apologise to the Pastor and clear the air on the rumour she is spreading. I hope the pastor will forgive her and preach Jesus to her.
Mat 6> 14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
prov 21> 23 Whoever guards his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles.

What if she is right but cannot afford so many lawyers to defend her?? .. and we are already judging and condemning her because she is a talkative. ... or because she does not know how to present it to the public....... and ...... How do we tell if we find out a Man of God is doing something wrong , without being labelled the devil?

Remember , Jesus, the Harlot and the the people that sees her as a sinner

How do we know whose side God is on right now .Heb 4>13 < Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Eccles 7>20 there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins
ROm 3> 10 As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one
Do not trust in princes, In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation. Isaiah 31:1

Pastor is human and Kemi is human
before we judge them
The bible says...1 Thessalonians 5:20 ....Test all things; hold fast to that which is good.

James 1 > 19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

Are Christians expected to suffer in silence and refuse to seek legal protection? no

Mat 5> 38 You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’
39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. If someone slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also;
40 if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well;

A follower of Jesus would turn the other cheek in the sense of not allowing others to force him, as it were, into a “showdown.” Turning the other cheek does not mean that a Christian would not defend himself against violent assailants. Jesus was not saying that we should never defend ourselves but, rather, that we should never strike offensively, that we should not allow ourselves to be provoked to take revenge. While it is wise to retreat whenever possible in order to avoid a fight, it is proper to take steps to protect ourselves and to seek the help of the police if we are a victim of a crime.

Am not blaming anyone . This saga just makes us ask questions as Christians . I believe in pastor defending himself and against Kemi spreading malicious rumour about people but what if she is right?...and pastor using his position to supress the fact...Only God knows

As long as it's a pastor, Kemi is wrong. That's the nigerian mentality for you

What if Kemi is right? What if Stephanie Otobo is right?

I am a Christian but how our men of God always entangle themselves in scandals, partake in politics, refuse to speak out when it matters most, encourage revellings and react in situations like these makes Christianity a laughing stock today

Am sure Apostle Paul and Peter must be ashamed of the Christianity in this dispensation

By all truth, this Ibiyemi is not a man representing Jesus Christ. Pastor Ibiyemi is a peddler and an alleged criminal who should be investigated. He has ripped this woman of her constitutional right by influencing the authority. I will not stupidly follow such a man of the cud knowing full well what the Bible says about antichrists and workers of iniquity abounding in the last days.
Our constitution gave us right to free speech. There is nothing wrong with speaking out on social issues. Many newspapers have reported scandals concerning TB Joshua, Chris Oyakhilome etc and none of them has fought back. This pastor supposedly has so much under his carpet and that is why he is on the offensive. You cannot shut the masses from expression their viewpoints. So much was said about Patience Jonathan and Goodluck. If they were to go after everyone who spoke negatively about them, many would have rot in the prisons.
This man is not God for crying out loud. How could a man who preaches the message in the Bible and indoctrinates Christianity push for one to be arrested and re-arrested after a bail? This is absolutely not Christ-like and should be shunned by Christians.
Enough of this impunity! Even when Abacha died we could not say it with our own mouths even after it was broadcast on BBC. What is this? What sort of country is this? It will not go on forever, the poor also have thoughts and they need to be expressed.
you must be very stupid, do you know the kind of damage that this stupid woman is causing in homes and lives of nigerian, from one celebrity to pastors, listen, if a pastor is fake, he will never achieve building a church of that standard, no matter the standard of his juju and tricks, church is an instiutution build by god not man, many has planned to trick it, but has failed....am a catholic not even a penti..
