I think the ministry of health should make laws prohibiting doctors working with government hospitals from having a private clinic.
This is part corruption.
Imagine for not patronizing his hospital and he decided not to show up and government will pay him at month end.

May her soul rest in peace. The husband saw the handwriting on the wall yet persisted. That initial sign is enough to tell u to go another hospital. U made several attempts to see doctors u re denied access yet still have hope even paid pastor to pray for her.

I pity this man. If you have never find yourself in a similar situation like this, you won't believe what he is saying. We have some devils has doctors in Nigeria. Just pray that you never jam one. If not, Your story may be told by another person. God punish the wicked.

And you are even more of a coward for not having any sense. He didn't leave his wife at home, he left her at a hospital.

Op so sorry about your wife, the way some of these general hospitals treat life and death as if it doesn't make any difference is just heart breaking. I pray God consoles you and helps you raise your girls.

oh no.... This is so painful.
This is why people travel oversees for medical attention. Over there, they consider life first before any other thing.
But here in my father's land, U rush a patient who's in a critical condition to emergency and all they will be asking is pay this or pay that.
Why don't u take care of the person first?
It is only who's alive that can pay money?

Doctors in Nigeria don't have unit or teams that audit or investigate their activities. Am super sure 80% of death in Nigeria hospitals are caused by medical personnel. They operate like cult.

A serial killer should join any Nigeria medical facilities for a sure operation. It is where medical persons kill pple without questions.

ONLY their peers, similarly trained can judge the case and deem them negligent.

This is my impersonal and unbiased opinion.

PS - Nigeria has one of the highest rates of Maternal mortality in the world. If these incidents happen in the capital cities, imagine the millions that happen in the villages.

I have gone to some rural LGAs before. ..believe me, you would be shocked! shocked
Its 2017, we still don't have competent health workers for just child birth?

It will never be well with that useless Doctor maduakor,in fact his case will be like dat of the doctor dat jumped into the lagoon.As for those nurses well,karma will rub shoulders with them.Most often a time a time,u will see nurses sitting at the the reception room and watching telemundo and zee world.

This is so sad. When would we get it right in our health sector, when?

Most staff members at government hospitals are often not just negligent but downright heartless, indifferent to your pain. I've suffered from them once.

They mock you, insult you, move at a snail's pace and give off this impression that even if you die, you won't be the first to do so there. Heartless! Absolutely heartless!

In saner climes, You hear of doctors losing their license or jailed. I've never heard of even a nurse receiving any punishment in this shīt hole of a country. This is very painful.

He left her at the hospital by 9pm, only to send his mother inlaw the following morning while he went to his site. He later come to the hospital by noon and left to come back later. This is pure carelessness. I am no happy with him here.

Our medical personnel can be so unprofessional especially the nurses had a personal encounter, Lord! they can be so rude, when you are faced with such critical conditions with nigerian doctors just commit yourself to God

Please accept my condolence. However u didn't tell us what may have led to your wife's death. Am not sure she died probably because she wasn't commenced on blood transfusion having survived about a day or two post op. did she cconvulsed post op? did she throw an embolus post op? did she develop acute pulmonary edema post op?. I suggest u address the issue by meeting with the medical team. It is important you know that every Doctor's aim is to prevent maternal mortality especially Obstetricians. The consultant may head the team of doctors managing your wife does not necessarily mean he has to conduct the operation especially if a primary C/S.
therefore, I suggest you address the issue rather than personality.
