You beta sorry for yourself, what is ur relevant. You run to a better place because you are useless, cos if you are useful, you will stay and bring idea of how to make your father house a befitting one. If those ppl you run to their country have been running to another country like you, would you have had the opportunity to run to their land?, more reason they are killing you in foreign land. Yes, am planning to move to Australia, but not to take it as home but to gain knowledge and come back home to apply it in order to make my home sweet for others to live and sleep in. You need to shut up and cover your head in shame.
Its ur type that go and after chilling never come back. I sincerely pray you get it 2years from now lets talk about how passionate you feel about this hole

Yes, leave. We don't need people who curse our country, I pray you go fast and make sure you renounce your citizenship. Let me help you, instead of applying for it, just throw your passport and we will be free of people like you.

God bless Nigeria
The country never needed me. As long as the oil is flowing and is still relevant you and me will never be the priority of this country. You will be rid of me true but you will NEVER be free, fact.

Yes I do. People still steal e.g. the 200m grass cutting saga...but believe me, if you have followed our democracy since 1999, you would know that there is more accountability than before.

All we need is a great leader who would actually develop Nigeria.

Tinubu, Fashola and Ambode all definitely enriched themselves but you can't dispute that they excelled compared to past Lagos Leaders.
The problem is you dont even understand your country. So you believe that one great leader will emerge and suddenly people will stop looting, people will start showing concern, the education sector will miraculously just be reshaped because one leader has emerged. LMAO

What you fail to understand is that the country might be a hole to you but not everyone is in your situation, some people are doing well for themselves. Please go away from this country, we don't need your kind that likes to only curse, may God help you secure a visa as soon as possible, good luck

Nigeria has no citizens as a country.Or rather, its citizenship is only in paper, not in practice or for thieves that wrecks the country.

Thank you for your comment. I pray people like you contribute your quota no matter how little to develop Nigeria.

The example of the UBA security guard comes to mind... what if he had stolen the 10,000USD and ran away because Nigeria is harsh and we are all corrupt? What if he had justified his dishonesty by saying people who do such aren't rewarded well?

Do you know what he got? 15000USD plus 5 million that we know of. It was a gamble. He could have received no gift. BUT he took the first step of doing the RIGHT thing and thank God he was rewarded abundantly for it.

Nigeria is a sorry mess. But it's still fixable and it would one day be fixed. Even if it's in a 100 years.

I remember growing up saying a Black man won't ever be US President in my lifetime....

If Obama had had the same loser coward mentality displayed by a lot here, if he hadn't even tried, he won't have been elected.

I have a friend in Australia. Made citizenship as a Dr in 5 years flat. 2012 - 2017.

Come back to develop Nigeria. He plans to... too

These people criticising our zeal to develop Nigeria think we don't have the means...They don't know we don't want to be house niggers.

Get education, make money there...but your fatherland would still remain the same. Contribute your quota towards development instead of whining constantly and running like a coward.
Am telling you, I can't imagine leaving father's house in tattered and staying in another person's father's that was developed by the father and his children. had they ran to another person house , would I have the gut to move to their house. Does that make any sense.

Spot on. Any man who runs to a ready made house built by another man isn't a man, but a boy, and a coward at that. There's nothing more pathetic than seeing Nigerians want to free load off of the countries white people built instead if building your own. But anyway, it's probably best if they leave, they are the ones who's holding this country back anyway. We don't need people here who don't want to make the country better. It's honestly better if they just leave.

Thank you, do you know he didn't return the money in order for him to be rewarded, but out of his God fearing and honesty heart. And it pays him. Am happy for him.

Even though i love and enjoy what you doing on this thread, it is a hard job defending this entity especially if you have ever traveled outside before.

Nigeria is like a jungle, one large village without basic amenities compared to second world country not to talk of first world. We are progressing but it is painfully slow compared to the pace of growth in other part of the world especially in areas of social services and infrastructure.

i cannot blame those guys losing hope because it seems we take two step forward five step backward. When one sector seems to get better, other sector crumbles woefully.

There comes a time in life where all you have is hope and dream.

People don't know it!. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with Nigeria. If you take your time to study both recent and ancient civilizations you will quickly discover that Nigeria is 100% on the path to greatness. All these thing the average Nigerian complains about today is perfectly normal for a budding civilization.

At the end of the day, There is nothing new under the Sun, what was done before would be done again.!

Chief. I actually love to debate without abuse. I truly enjoy the intellectual tennis of make my point while you make yours. I was only rough with those who brought tout behaviour here.

The funny thing they don't see is that I feel their pains. As a younger man, I also wanted to run away and never come back.

I have been there and done that - my work has taken me to several countries. I have seen there's more to life than building another person's father's castle as someone here said.

Nigeria is a cesspit, but we should ask ourselves individually how we have contributed.

Let me give you an example.... I was in Burkina Faso for a while (had lowest literacy levels globally then). I would eat biscuits and as a Nigerian ruffian throw the wraps on the ground. Within 3 days, no one told me before i picked my thrash because the whole of the country was using roadside bins and I felt odd.

In the West African francophone countries I worked, the queues at banks...you take a numbered tally and wait wherever u like. If you try to "shunt" / cheat, the teller would send you back. It's all about mentality and we seriously have to work on ourselves.

I am as frustrated as they are. Our perspectives are just different.

But we have to admit that we are not doing something sincerely tangible move forward at the moment.Still don't have a game plan and just riding on the wings of faith.

We have no reason to be the civilization that hasn't evolved yet in the 21st century.

Hey, I have traveled out before and I can boldly say you are lying big time. In fact when you go abroad is when you actually find things to love and appreciate about Nigeria. How can any right thinking person say we have no basic amenities or compare Nigeria to a Jungle? I think your problem is English, go and learn the meaning of those words before you use them, cheers
