Pleasant Morning My people. Please advice me on this. I have applied for US visa 3times whilst I was not married, 2 student visa and 1 visitors visa in the space of 4years, all denied. Now am married with a son, my wife has also applied for US visitors visa 3times (2times when she was single and 1time when she was married/pregnant) Now we are married and have a son together, my wife's family all live in the US, Her Father, step Mother, and 4 step siblings all with the same surname with my wife's maiden name, now we intend applying for family visit in summer 2017 as my wife's sister is getting married there in the US, which we have been sent an invite, What is the chance of getting this visa? Any specific way to get the visa? Will I fill 3 different Ds160 form for the 3 of us? Will I pay for 3 US visa fee? Booking appointment for the 3 of us, how will I go about it to be able to visit the VO/embassy as a family.

Your travel history could be questionable as the time interval is quite short, except you have tangible reasons for the frequent travels. You cannot claim to go on vacation in Dec and in Feb Germany then now USA, na so your salary plenty reach and which organization will permit leave every 2 months?

Just take your time, give a bit of tine and maybe you can put in for the germany then later in the year you can try USA. Anyways it all depends on your purpose of visit sha. All the best

Na wa o take am issue on LadyGuinivere na!

Anyways, lets try to be polite on this thread. Some comments sha!
For me its a. Non issue truly. I try as much as I can to offer my advice for as many people as I can. Have never tried to be sugar and spice and anything nice. I'm nobody's mommy here. If I see anything not going right I call it as is. If it offends anybody #shrugs! That's life. The person that abused me clearly has issues with me which is ok. One person asked a questin on visas generally, another person replied. The ist poster says I don't gerrit and I translated. Brosses come dey abuse LadyG moniker. Seen! If it makes you happy to abuse LadyG, she's aii with it.
But will she stop being herself? Heck No.
Thanks y'all. My worry is how to drive myself home with the high temperature I get now no be people when dey notice me. At least, I was noticed today. Lemme go and testify to my popularity grin

@farmventure, demostrate that you can be trusted with a visa. Get travel history. Preferably with family. Then reapply. They don't want to be the ones to test your honesty ist

Just a general note. The VOs are Americans and know a lot about their country. Manhattan is a small place, expensive and their is not a lot to see there - well skyscrapers, Wall Street... you can see all that in an hour.

The problem I see is that you had no serious plan with regard to your vacation. Sight seeing to manhattan doesn't mean much.

Where do you visit in New York mostly please, which part has the major attractions passing more for a tourist centre? Maybe he should have added more cities/areas to visit. @farmventure; Is it not hotel reservation you used? Which area is the hotel in? Methinks he was undone by his travel history, job tie, etc. Sometimes these "packages" are see through types, really! Maybe a test by the VO on various indices returned negative and had this whole thing fall flat

DON'T APPLY FOR A B1/B2 VISA, APPLY FOR AN IMMIGRATION VISA INSTEAD, AS YOU WILL FACE A VERY HIGH HURDLE OVERCOMING IMMIGRANT INTENT ESPECIALLY AS YOUR FIANCÉE IS A US CITIZEN. I THINK ITS CALLED A FIANCÉE VISA, NOT SURE, IF YOU APPLY FOR A B1/B2 VISA, YOU WILL MOST LIKELY BE DENIED.

SORRY FOR THE CAPITAL LETTERS. CHEERS!

The dude didn't even allow me finish my answer on where I would be visiting before he cut me short with another question, If the denial was as a result of travel history, I believe aside this, the guy didn't give me fair hearing during the interview, hardly smile and was just dishing out the blues grin. I know I prepared well, I read and read this thread more than when preparing for exams, did series of research and Wify grilled me with Several FAQ from transcripts(both successful & unsuccessful ones) here and from their web. Manhattan couldnt' be the sole place to visit during a 10days visit. If Manhattan is expensive, how do they determine if one can afford it or not, isn't that part of the reason for question asked by cbp at POE.

@LadyG: thanks for the advice, maybe would differ my vacation to around September when my wife would be on leave, then we can both go maybe Dubai or a Shenghen country, then we can both apply again because make we talkvtruth, America has lots of tourist attractions sights can behold, such experience would be awesome. grin

I get where you're coming from and it's unfortunate sometimes during your research you should know that Manhattan should come last not your primary purpose of visiting.

Of course I used hotel reservation, I used Econo Lodge at Times Square, though free cancellation. I don't think it could be the job tie because I have a business which is doing greatly and it could be easily traceable and accessible for scrutiny and worked few years as an accountant/sales Manager before I set up my business.
Anyway, thanks for your input, appreciates.

Sometimes they've made up their minds after reading your application. At that point, the interview is simply a case of going through the motions. Have a better plan next time.

Also someone raised the issue of traveling too often... there are not that many organizations that allow you to go on 10-day vacations 4/5 times a year. Even I would like to work for that company too!

Ah makes sense. Wait a few months, have a more detailed vacation plan and try again, this time with your wife at least. You should get it.

Do you really think your job without a travel history yet will get you a US B1/B2 visa ahead of a civil servant for example who has no travel history but has put in say 15, 20 to 20 years of service, and even earns lesser than your stated income? Think!

All the same, I feel something you filled already ruled you out, and your responses to the few questions asked didn't just check out in your advantage in the VO's assessment/point of view.

Pls house I'm about to book a flight ticket for my brother but we are confused on an issue . The issue is that during his visa application he put Michigan that he would be visiting but now something else came up and he would have to travel to South Carolina before Michigan . Now the question is wont he have problem at the POE in South Carolina ( if at all they would know he put Michigan as his destination ) ... Thanks

NB: he got his visa last week .

No. If asked, he should simply explain.
