Thanks for this clarification. Pls pardon me, I'm a novice, will I apply it together with d study visa or afterwards?

Yes, apply for the work permit alongside your study permit. Don't now the procedures but should google the procedure to know more details.

Hi pals

Which sch can one get admission within a duration of weeks or a month for UG studies in Canada? ?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by timisnup(m): 10:38pm On Apr 11, 2017
The first admission letter is conditional..... You will have to pay the amount written in the letter before they issue admission letter for student visa processing

Good day,

Ok my wife just got admission into Thomson Rivers.... MBA. part of the requirement to fulfill to get the full admission is to sent transcript.. (Done), sign the provincial admission given (done), pay $7000. Now do we have to pay all these... although on the admission letter it was stated that if refused all money will be returned. Do we have to pay?

Kheyindae:
Good evening everyone, i sent my paper trail for study visa relating to pgd around early feburary (10th-15th) and just got my medical request today (10th April) but i was also asked for another confirmation from the bank, is this a positive sign considering others were requested for medical report after 2-3 weeks after submission of paper trail

You guys are really doing a great job here. @Kheyindae congrats in advance. I pray for God's favour all the way and on others too. However, you need to be clear on what the message from CIC states. Did the VO request for a confirmation in terms of an updated bank statement or a written assurance confirming funds in your account? If it's the latter, then I think what you require will be more like a bank confirmation letter that will also state your current available funds. Please clarify.

Hello r4blessing, you need to approach your bank for a confirmation letter addressed to CIC. Although it's usually standardized for most banks. I mean like a template. You need to kindly request that your bank includes the current available balance in your account. For the letter from CBN, there isn't such letter. All you need do is to get CBN circulars on the new forex policy which also mandates banks to process PTA and foreign tuition payment within 48 hours. You can get the circulars from the CBN website. That should suffice. I hope this helps. God bless.

Hello guys! Pls I'm in the process of applying online. But on my application, it's showing I should upload medical documents. When I filled the questionnaire I selected that I have not done any medical test in 12months and that I have lived in Nigeria for more than 6 months.
My question is how do I proceed with my application without doing upfront medical/uploading a document.

Pls assist me. Thanks

Hello, a bank draft will be a possible option only if you have a Canadian bank account wherein you can issue a draft in the name of your institution. You know that way the VO will really respect it. My thoughts.

Eraytee:

Pls do well to copy and paste d body of the letter here for clarity purpose. Thanks

Good morning Eraytee. I'm really sorry that I do not have a copy. However, I do know that all Nigerian banks issue a 'Bank Confirmation Letter' at a small fee. The content is standardized for each bank; meaning Zenith Bank for example, has a standard template. The level of disclosure in this letter is quite limited to probably your bank details and the period you've operated the account. However, since CIC has sent a few requests to some applicants for a 'written assurance of your funds', you can request from your bank to include the available funds in your account as most banks do not alter the body of the letter except the area that contains your details which is where they can capture your available bank balance. This will then suffice as a written assurance since it now captures your balance.

A bank confirmation letter normally is used to demonstrate that the customer is well known to the bank and can fulfil his/her financial obligations to a third party. It is however not a guarantee for payment.

Please I hope this helps.

Hello Eraytee. Thanks again. You're absolutely correct. However, when the VO requests for additional information as such, you know it's quite impossible for you to ignore smiley. What I'd rather suggest is that, for those that have already paid their tuition, please include your tuition receipt in addition to the letters (bank confitmation letter and CBN circulars) requested by the VO. It is also safe to put up a small letter of explanation as a cover note. My thoughts.
